Plus Abigail is a great help when I lag on DST and serves as a buffer for combat when I get impossible ping and can't kite... PhelsarusBeel Posted March 5, 2016 Share Posted March 5, 2016 That's a though one but if i have to narrow it down it has to be a tie between Maxwell and Wolfgang. Maxwell because i love the fact that he's frail yet Dapper meaning i have to be a lot more carefull and one mistake basicly means death. Also the fact that his playstyle is a lot more focused on Sanity (need to go insane to get the Nightmarefuel to fuel both the Codex Umbra and Shadowgear to keep him alive) and also cause i can easily recover my sanity from a Giantfight. Wolfgang i like because of his hilarious lines (Is Wood what you not get?) but his perk is also very fun to play around because i need to decide on how much food i want to stockpile to turn mighty if needed. Also him making combat a lot easier is also nice and his Sanity debuff is really not to much to worry about with Green Shrooms, Sleeprolls and the likes to easily recover my sanity. Honorable mentions go to Webber, WX and Wendy Also on a sidenote shouldn't this be in the General Discussions and not the Offtopic? Just saying it's DS related so why post it in the Offtopic. Also because he is actually capable of tanking the dragonfly w/o the scalemail. Obviously not on DST, but he's still pretty necessary to kill it in multiplayer. Reasons are : Pros : 1- Always prepared for any enemy invasion ( Hounds / deerclops ) and really really hard to kill . 2- can craft the best armor and weapon in the game ( well roughly ) with easy to obtain materials . 3- Meat is never an issue since the best meals in the game you can make from crockpot have meat in it . 4- one of the best sustain hunters in game ( Kualaphant , spiders , clockworks ) you can kill those easily from day 1 . 5- Have the best sanity / health recovery in the game , you can recover those almost anytime you want by just go and kill easy stuff . 6- VALHALA Cons : ( in my experience ) 1- Lousy early game explorer because you have to spend time hunting while exploring to maintain your hunger which reduce exploring time . 2- Need constant availability of gold ( or more likely a heavy gold consumer ) , without decent weapon and armor you are kinda the worst character , also never use the golden tools since you need the gold for your hunting gear . 3- Your toughest challenge is surviving between start of the game and camp establishment . 4- Not gonna include ( meat only eater ) since 1 + 3 cons. are there because of this perk . As Wolfgang, you can gorge on dragon pies, berries and honey as well as the piles and piles of meat you'll be getting from your kills, AND deal a lot more damage than Wigfrid with a faster movement speed. As long as you have gold , you can make nice helms and spears (also arm your party with them) you are almost immortal with them (only bosses can kill you) just have 4-5 helms aways in your inventory . I'm also a fan of viking mythology/religion and way of thinking so there is that . PROS: •He's so damn adorable. •His balloons are terrific for base design. •He doesn't whine or complain, only pantomimes. •He makes the game more interesting, your not a strongman with great potential or a magical librarian who conjures up wonderous things with the power of reading, your just a goofy mime who can't afford to make mistakes. CONS: •Nobody likes you if you play him. "UGGGH YOR WASTIG ALLL THE FOODDDDD." Says the Wilson who just died to a level one spider nest.
