Changes

  • Dread Mite damage can now be blocked by Bone Armor.
  • Cleaned up and brought back all the jumping animations where hats pop off the head for a few frames (except when wearing a full head covering like Void Cowl).
  • Improved Nitre Formations mining actions.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed bugs where the head symbols can be dislocated during some animations when wearing Void Cowl.
  • Fixed Warly’s Shadow Jacket’s upper arm missing and skin tone variants added.
  • Fixed Wortox’s Shadow Torso having hands.
  • Fixed Walter’s Triumphant skin set having a small shift in skin tone.
  • Fixed Walter’s Crooked Cap missing an inventory icon.
  • Fixed Walter’s Shadow Shirt forcing one set of arms.
  • Fixed Wolfgang’s Moonbound skin having spillover artwork around its border.
  • Fixed the Scrapbook trying to send off too many sync requests.
  • Fixed bug with multiple Grainy Transmissions persisting in a world.
  • Fixed controller support for the offerings to enable Rifts.
  • Fixed bug where Dreadstone Stacks could be broken in ways not using stronger tools.
  • Fixed bug with Ryftstals sometimes not being removed when the Rift closes.

Notes for Modders

  • Added HEAD_HAT_NOHELM and HEAD_HAT_HELM layers for animations that need to have an alternate version for full helmets (like Void Cowl).
  • Show HEAD_HAT and HEAD_HAT_HELM when equipping full helmets.
  • Show HEAD_HAT and HEAD_HAT_NOHELM when equipping regular hats.

Is that the ink blight bouncing on them that was fixed?  Do weather pains work still?  (do they still work on lunar rifts?  I haven't tried in a while)

Hmm it didn't take long for this fix...then why wasn't it implemented when the update first came out? Running out of time?

It was nice being able to go to where a rift despawned and pick up 4-8 pure brilliance without having to deal with grazers, all good things must come to an end I suppose.

Can we make the bone helm repairable with pure horror or something?

It's better than the void armor for maxwell and you get it earlier and without all the issues with the rifts.

Or maybe future boss will let you upgrade it into a shadow crown or something?

I think the fuelweaver is harder than the celestial boss but the enlightened crown is permanent.

Or maybe just rework the bone helm. Make it permanent like the enlightened crown, give it planar defense and/or some kind of small damage reduction instead of functioning as 70% armor.

Well, partially.
Players losing their heads was only an issue brought on by the Lunar Rift beta, which introduced the first hat to replace a characters head entirely. Causing many, many issues.
The Shadow rift was the one to add a second hat to this list! There haven't been decapitations up until this point.

No to them as well, they still fly off. This is because they aren't 'head replacing helmets' and instead are just usual hats that just so happen to look big on the player.

The 'mask' terminology is mostly just code talk currently. It's referring to hats that specifically replace the characters heads entirely leaving nothing behind, rather than resting/sitting on them. This only applies to the hats mentioned so far! This may change with future hats and/or if they decide to make the animation changes apply to other hats like eyemask and play masks.

You guys ended up following the suggestion to have it follow headbase which is great to see! Whether it was already planned or my own doing.

Looks like you forgot about the problem with the back view layering though!
