Oh right, I missed one important patch note:

  • Wickerbottom now has a mana bar.

on a serious note I do feel like a meter that decreases a bit every time you read a book in exchange for no book durability would be great for the wicker rework

I also really enjoy the sound of books that have infinite uses, but drain a Mana Meter -rather than her sanity, or a durability on the book itself. Sort of like a reverse Wigfrid.

Even if the books needed to be refueled, I'd still like it.

wickerbottom now starts with a mana bar, its maximum increase with knowledge ( exploration, and prototyping of items, first spoting of a new type of enemy or plant etc) and refills slowly when wickerbottom is under no stress (combat, hungry, overheating etc) reading a book of her uses mana for the effect but doesnt decrease durability, foods that restore sanity also refill mana by half that amount
