i hope one of the qol updates will allow players to change their world's server mode and game mode whenever they want and one of them separates insanity volume from ambient.

also max players count should be raised to 12 from 6

So excited for this entire roadmap and 2023 now :wilson_flower: I was a little sad that we don't get any content updates this year but I realized it's much better for them to take the time to smooth things out to get ready for big stuff :). I'm so greatful they're continuing this game, I honestly thought it might start to slow down this year but once again it looks like things are just picking up.

I'm also so stoked for more Cawnival stuff, by far my favorite event I love the music, Mr. Goodfeather and all those crow kiddos

There’s 3 Content updates coming this year- they’re labeled as 

“Setting the Stage” Content Updates 

They just probably won’t have anything at all to do with continuing the story where Return of Them left off.

(so they’ll be updates like Water Logged or Reap What You Sow)

This is exactly the kind of thing I'd expect you guys to say if you were planning on having Maxwell be the final rework...

Looks like you probably got the first one right, and it would probably make sense for Maxwell and Wilson to be the last 2, since Maxwell is basically the most important character and Wilson is the main character.

Maybe your predictions will come true, we'll have to wait and see.

If this all comes true, I'm going to grin wider than Maxwell does in the promotional art. But for now, all we can do is wait.

The Plan for 2022

  • Year of the Catcoon + 2023 "Year of the...." event
  • Four Character refreshes ending in Q1 2023
  • Three QOL updates
  • More Cawnival games and prizes
  • Three "setting the stage" Content updates

I just wanted to recap this-

•January- Year of the Catcoon •February/March- QoL Update 1 of 3, •April- WX78 Rework 1 of 4, •May ???
• June- Midsummers Cawnival Year 2

•July-December ??? •January/February 2023- Year of ???,

May is my birth month so It’s fun to guess what kind of update from the schedule above will come for my Birth month in between the current WX78 Rework & June’s Annual Midsummers Cawnival event.

Will it be another Refresh? The second QoL? Or one of the 3 “Setting the Stage” Content updates?

Last year- Mays update was Eye of the Storm :)

We're still yet to get any of those "Setting the stage" content updates so I'm willing to bet the update of May is going to be the first one of those. 

Previous two updates have been on the last week of their months (May 24 and April 28) so I wonder if they'll skip a month and release an update at the start of the following month; especially if Klei goes on holidays in Ramadan's Eid al Fitr, that's one week of May already gone, wouldn't be too surprised if we get a beta mid-May but have the hard release happens in June alongside improved Midsommar Cawnival.

Regardless, pretty sure they have more than just the Midsommar Cawnival planned for June as the basis has been made already, they've been pretty consistent doing updates alongside annual events like Hollowed Nights and Winter's Feast.

How do I get the ability to give drops. I've been playing DST since it came out and I use to be able to give drops when people watched my stream. now it seems unfair. not only can i no longer give drops, but because of this unfortunate fact, I also get next to no viewers during my stream during drop time. all the viewers congregate with the top streamers with drops enabled, leaving me and the rest of the die-hard fans/promoters of the game alone in our streams talking to ourselves.

I'm expecting a QOL update in July, Wickerbottom rework in August, another content update thingy in September, October possibly a Qol update alongside the usual hallowed nights update? November is another content setting the stage updatey diddly doodad and in december is either Wilson rework or just winter's feast.

And by expecting I mean just taking guesses of the order and months for certain announced updates, wouldn't mind if some of them were wrong or were postponed/ cancelled, like one less qol update or sth, can't wait for more is all.
