What is your 2022 DST wishlish?

-Tweaks to how expensive certain crafts are.

1. Make cobblestone turf need 3 logs and 1 rocky turf.

2. Change the old cost of 6 thelucite and 4 nightmare fuel for thelucite suit to 5 thelucite and 4 nightmare fuel.

The reason for these changes is cobblestone turf is needlessly tedious to gather and no one really uses the thelucite suit compared to the crown. 

-Qol updates

_Be done with the blasted reworks.

+Rework the old biomes.

--Ocean updates.

That's honestly all. I'm happy with anything Klei  (except getting rid of dst).

I think it would be really cool if they could make it so you could change event settings without restarting the server.  I always thought it would be cool to have rotating events every in game year.

I do hope they come back to characters that have received their rework but don't really work that well...  I think, especially since even Wes has upsides now, that each character should be somewhat useful / good at what they do.  Winona, Walter, Wurt, and Wolfgang are close - but they need a touch up.

Wilani coming to the constant would be a huge gift for me.  Love that girl, she's the only reason I played sw <3 

My wishlist:

-Bramble husk buff

-Bramble trap qol improvement

-Mushroom planter qol buff/tweak

-Better drops for Crab King

-1 more drop for Celestial Guardian

-More lunar glass crafts

-More boats/upgrades for wooden boat

-Better Malbatross spawning

-More useful fishes for Wurt

-More utility spiders for Webber

-More Structures/improvements for Winona

-Improvements to Walter's slingshot

-Make lazy deserter solo viable

-Better/more consistent ruins generation

-More plant mobs for Wormwood to play with

-Improvements/tweaks/buffs to Woodies transformations

-More shadow magic items/living log crafts

-Opal amulet

-Late game use for the ancient gateway

-Make the enlightenment crown so it's more beneficial to low sanity characters and Willow.

-More giant structures/natural structures like the above average trees

-A use for glommer wings

-Buff to night lights

-Way to prevent hound waves

-Make hound waves more fun

-More uses for Bearger pelts (tent, bedroll, carpet)

-More beefalo costumes

-More of the moon's influence affecting the constant

-Reworks I'd like to see this year- Maxwell, Wicker, Wx-78

-The addition of trawling to reach junk out in the water

-Moon transformation for Chester (Maybe a small amount of sharable healing on cooldown)

it's not about the age counting but more about celebrating and let that character share a bit of themselves (personality, past..) to player 

  • Building system rework, make building placement more reasonable, so you don't need to build bases in a particular order (like ice Box and Cookpot), and make wall more usefull.
  • Lore, to explain things that we have long known and have not yet been explained
  • Lunar theme content supplement, mutants, glassware, enlightenment, moon storm, better CK drop and CC drop, etc

What do I want? Hmmmm...

-Crab King and ancient guardian to be revisited

-Wolfgang to have a second look.

-Klei to finish these refreshes really fast

-changes to Wurt and Winona (and a few to Walter)

-Ocean fishing to make more sense/ be more rewarding. It can be fun but it's so not worth the time put in.

-An update that goes back through ROT and fixes any major issues and adding content where there could be some. 

Ex. Lunar alters to have more crafts, the ?Moonstorm having more valuable materials inside it. (This is just me, but having pearl require one less task would just be a nice change.)

-In game geometric placement and building Qol. Seriously, these two are a big problem and push me off from buying DST on other systems.

Yeah, a little much I'm aware, but I think it's just what would be nice

Slanty Shanty. I don't care what anyone says. Screw it. I want to issue regulars on my world with houses and even make towns. 

I restrict my regulars from building whatever they want, but if I have a small suburb within my world, my people will have a limited creative outlet.

If everything will went good there will be 3 character refreshes, and there is 4 old dst characters without refresh(Wilson, Wickerbottom, Wx, Maxwell), and i still hope for some wurt buff or update

My wishlist:

1. Cooking rework, a challenging one, with complicated mechanisms, or just similar to The Gorge

2. New dishes with special uses, or just rework on those that exist, like pepper make you fast for a couple of seconds, garlic make mobs flee

3. Nerf wanda a little bit

4. WX rework of course

5. Make portal in archive usable

6. New biomes

7. New bosses

8. New endgame tools, why should a man who has lived over 1000 days must use pickaxe and axe? What is wrong with chainsaws and drills? A tool to speed up base building is also nice, like builder puppets for maxwell that can be ordered to follow some pattern or some

9. Drop irrigation for farming, we are wasting water here

10. Goat husbandry, we need easier milk, it's a nessacity for being healthy

11. Entering friends' worlds with your own characters and gears, you can't always ask people to give you stuff

12. Last but not least, removing regeneration timer after everyone dies in survival mode, and a backup system for worlds, my friend recently lost a 3000 days old world when he forgot pause the game and when he came back world was regenerated, and I lost a 1000 days old world when my computer shouted down exactly when game was auto saving

 

 

Better sound support, so I can choose to not listen farm music every little planted seed, or silence few sounds instead of all of them... Better placements of stuffs in crafting tabs, as I just meet few people who tried looking for birb cage in food tab... Maybe whole rework of it, as it is not comfy to search throught 30 recipes. And we could use caves rework and get more interesting areas (and music ;_; Caves have the most looped music and everything is same all year round)

Game's already great, whatever they add is typically good. Only things I would be hoping for are some character touchups. Warly getting a Chef's Specialty spice which is just pepper + garlic as a little QoL thing would be nice, as would him having food effects last twice as long on him and having his unique crafts moved to their own tab like most other characters have. Wolfgang's rework has the potential to be really fun but he could still use a few more tweaks, especially in the dumbbell department.

I just hope that they don't do any more nerfs in the upcoming refreshes. The remaining characters range from pretty good to arguably the worst in the game, would hate to see another Wolfgang get pulled.

There are a lot of cool suggestions in this threat, but to not repeat a lot I would choose just a few wishes:

1. QoL update to various areas of the game:

   - impacting active gameplay (like consistent attack speed, etc. (there were many of those in corresponding thread));

   - character-specific (like Wortox being able to quick drop souls, making "dismantle" primary action for Warly with torch towards crock pot instead of "light");

   - building (structure order, geometric placement option including tying grid to boat on a boat, not to water under it, dwarf star/polar light not blocking placement);

   - mod managment (ability to group mods into folders and enable at once);

   - cosmetic changes not related to active gameplay (ability to choose main menu music and image (because I like terraria one), more HD versions of objets including some old skins of characters, ability to disable intrusive underwear some characters (Wanda) have, update to sad story of Wurt and hats);

2. I would like to see Wilba in DST, but tweaked so she could have more interactions with team compared to her single-player version, better interaction with DST-exclusive content, general QoL improvements (ability to skip long turning to wereWilba animation and the like);

3. Already reworked/new characters receiving touch ups/second look (Winona, Willow (more fire-related abilities and control over Bernie), Wolfgang (I said a lot back in the beta days and even after), Wurt, Wanda (mainly a reason to choose something other than alarming clock as a weapon every fight), Warly (justice to chef pouch and Warly's early game));

4. More content in general, including filling ocean with it (Waterlogged and Troubled Waters helped a lot, but there is a lot of empty areas still), more food for Wurt to eat at sea, more ways to get various vegetables and fruits outside of farm on the small scale (to get specific plants and their seeds outside of generic seeds spamming/catcoon grinding; that could help Warly a lot), a way to obtain cacti flowers outside of summer/without cacti, more resources being renewable (in a harder than normal way, but still).

5. And I wish reworks were finished already, it's been so long since they started.

But my biggest wish is for developers to be not afraid of taking breaks when they need them to produce better quality content, to take as much time as they need and not rush anything at the cost of quality. All those minigames coming in large numbers in the last updates make me suspect that either shedule is too tight or flow of ideas is drying up, and in both cases taking extra time would likely improve situation. Even Eye of the Storm feels unfinished due to moonstorms providing nearly nothing by themselves despite new mobs, items and weather being added, even though Eye for an Eye update added really interesting items and bosses, Twins of Terror feel like copy-pasted and buffed version of Eye of Terror. So I wish my concerns were proven groundless with great updates in the future!

Edit: it's not Wanda's underwear that is intrusive, it's toymaker's clogs that are weird.
