So Did They Remove Moldy Backpacks?

Recommended Posts

I was looking around and I found an old wiki that said if a backpack was left on the ground too long it would turn into a moldy one. I actually like the look of this skin and I want to know if there is a way to get it. I left a backpack on for quite some time in a world, well over 500 days probably and it didn't turn into a moldy one. So, did they remove them?

They changed it so that people who own a specific skin can craft them for people don’t own the skin.

At first they rotted away so you couldn’t share your skins but seems Klei changed their minds and I’m thankful, year of the Carrat will now reign eternal in every server I join and craft the Carrat backpack in.

Long time ago they would rot if you left a backpack on the ground for too long. I vaguely remember them saying that they removed it for skinned ones and that it would only do that with an unskinned backpack, but I could be entirely wrong. I miss it though, it was always funny to have a gross looking backpack

The mechanic of your backpack rotting was annoying and it was the main reason I didn’t use regular backpacks back then, and used only the other options. It’s fairly common to have to leave your backpack on the ground for a while, specially during boss fights, only to find the moldy backpack each time you returned.

I was quite happy when they removed the mechanic , I guess I wouldn’t mind if the “moldy backpack” returns as a skin.

The moldy backpack does not change how the actual bag works in any way, so I'm not sure why people keep saying they were annoying. Just clean sweep them to return it to normal. There really was no reason to ever remove them, especially since they only rotted if you were not wearing it for several entire days.

I have no idea when exactly the moldy backpack was removed, but I'm pretty sure it was before the clean sweeper was added.

I can see how it would be annoying or a nuisance, especially if you don't like how they look.

I want an adorable rabbit to go with my autumn fashion outfit. The moldy color scheme COMPLETELY breaks the a e s t h e t i c

In general if you spent $7 on a backpack costume you want to be able to SEE it

I think you misunderstood what Wendy C meant: Only if you didn't wear the backpack for days would it rot. However, it was possible to insert the possibility of deactivating the function without removing it completely; precisely because it is extremely marginal.

They changed it so only default backpacks get rotten, not the ones with skin

Later they just removed for all idk why
