Be2014
Do any of you use the chest skins instead of labels? Do you organize your items in a specific pattern every time you make a base? Do you organize your items is backpacks instead?
Harrowick
I opt to use the chest skins! Some even help me visualize which resources should go in which chests. (I.e: Brute Case for Monster Drops, Calico Chester for rocks/gold/flint, Steamer Trunk for woodstuffs, etc.)
minespatch
I love the brute chest for design alone but I should totally use the skins I own for organization.
Dr. Safety
That's how I do it. I never make mini signs, I just organize via knowing what skins mean what type of item
minespatch
More chests in the future by this logic?
Notecja
Not really, just because even with signs people with who I play are quite lost.
ADM
I do both... because I can afford the wood
Ohan
I usually make small clusters of chests with 1 sign and group the materials thematically. the cluster with a nitre sign for example will also have salt crystals and flint. the cluster with a bone shards sign will have hounds teeth, goat horns, walrus tusks, beefalo horns and stingers. a sign for every chest although really helpful hides too much of the pretty chest skins imo. and using all the different skins for this purpose would look too cluttered for me i think. i usually use a combo of 2 max 3 chest skins. Hatty DeWitt
That's why chest skins are the ones that make me happiest to get! I really like skins that have a practical use. Like chests to organize and backpacks to tell who's the owner just by looking at it. I really like minisigns, but what I don't like is gathering a large amount of jet feathers

X-lem
Yes, in my main world i use skins and labels and group them by skins. For basic resources (wood, grass, twigs, etc.) I use default skin. For rarer resources (gold, gems, gears, etc.) I use the gold skin. For things like pig skin, bunny puff, living logs I use the monster chest. I use the blue pattern chest for befall wool, silk, bone, shards, etc. Have the gingerbread chest by my Christmas tree to hold oradments and things. Not sure what I’m going to use the heart skin chest for yet.

Bumble_Vee
Yes, I love using the chest skins! I'm so happy that we got the "Lovely Chest" recently. In my game with lots of people I use it to store healing items (so the items for your heart are in the heart-shaped box heh heh)
CaptainChaotica
My current base, I started off by going "Okay, so the gingerbread chest will have this kind of thing in it" but it was a loose category and I don't think I stuck to it really... And I was the only one using the base, so any disorganization is purely my fault. : P ...Notorious
ArubaroBeefalo
I use in early game skins and in late game both
BezKa
I use Scaled chest so this option is out for me x.x I wish they would make the skins apply to scaled chests- with small tweaks it should be possible. But sc looks so epic on it's own...
