The new design for this area feels a lot more open than my old one and it’s deff safer lol! I panic a little over change sometimes ;( but it’s good. So I haven’t thought about a price But hmmm, if I had to pick a currency for the honey shop (just for fun) I’d have to say maybe x amount of bee stingers in trade for an item, since I have heaps of those (although I have no use for them). I just kinda like the idea of a different form of currency depending on the theme of the shop. Although if I had a public world with shops and wanted to actually gain a profit, I’d possibly want items that I find useful at the time and could help me towards expanding/making the world better. For example- wood, grass, twigs and rocks are always needed in my world. I blow through them easily and I’m not mega stoked to farm them myself. I deff consume them faster than I gather them, if I used those as a currency it would give people something to do- they get an item that they want for something as cheap as wood and I get more materials to use toward building. And the quality on PC is so beautiful... that zoom in *heart eyes*. I planned on smashing the walls for some contour of the cobble stone path- put seeing the walls up I'm kinda getting some castle vibes. I know walls aren't practical and I've never been keen on them, but I'm not sure how I feel now and which way I should go here. Should I smash them (left side), build some with different sizes (right), leave the walls all the same size (photos above), or no walls at all? They suck for defense (unless for some extremely specific niche cases with mobs not attacking walls at all), but they are pretty good for decor : P As for the design, I usually like to aim for corners/edges to have walls higher then the base ones, and vary the heights depending on what you like, but typically going below the base, since walls at that point don’t look really good. There are some exceptions, such as if you are going for a ruined feel. Occasionally I do fully smash them if I am making pathways as well. For what I usually like to do (and a shrine, I guess?), here’s a picture of my central area when I hit 5000 days. I like how the corner walls look when they are the highest, and I kept the walls before the openings tier 3. bruhmoment23 Posted April 25, 2020 Share Posted April 25, 2020 I'm nothing close to being a professional base designer, but i decided to give it a shot nontheless, coming up with currently "under construction" moon-sea styled zoo. I have only spawned the petrified hounds and moon rubble ( also some moonrock walls because im not that dedicated nor rich to afford them ), no mods regarding decorations. Edit: Added Purple and Blue gems into the cratered moonrocks. Here's a screenshot of the main gate to the zoo and the fencing. Close-up of the Gateway.
