References in Hamlet

Hamlet is a reference to Shakespeare's play (everything I know)

In addition to Shakespeare's Hamlet, a hamlet is "a small human settlement."  Or, in this case, a small settlement of pigs -- or hams, if you will.  So the references and puns abound.  One of my favorite pig quotes is when you give a guard a security contract and he says, "Wherefore art thine bad guys?"  somehow, this tickles my funny bone every time.

Anyone know the movie Ender's Game?

Well the sequel takes place on an alien world with Ender all grown up. The world is inhabited by pig people that resemble this game A LOT.

Not a reference per say.. I keep looking for one of the pigs to scream "FATHER" when cutting down a tree (turns out the pigs and trees are linked, they turn into trees when they die and live on a 2nd lifecycle)

Too funny!  I am wondering how many of the possible links and references were unintended, and I imagine the team at Klei going through these posts and laughing, "hey, that one's creative!  Why didn't we think of that?"

you could say that Ro Bin looks like Taillow from pokemon. But both of them are a reference to the real robin. still fun to think that. Sugimori 276.png

The Iron Hulk could be a reference to The Iron Giant.

The Pugalisk could be a reference of the Basilisk from Harry Potter and the chamber of secrets. It also had the ability to "freeze" enemies.

The one in Harry Potter is just taken from old European legends, like hippogriffs: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basilisk
