I'm willing to participate in the Gorge beta when it happens because I really like what I'm seeing about the event so far and it seems really interesting! I mean, sure, dst lore can be confusing at times, but face it. After the events of the forge, (which happened in November-December 6 months+ ago), they found themselves in a world underneath the caves of The Constant, maybe another dimension entirely. But what we know so far, is that it includes cool skins, goat people and boars, special merms, and maybe this is a world where the hamlet is above and the gorge is below. Speculation. The advanced shop owning, nicely dressed pigs are living out their piggy lives on the surface, while goats, merms, and boar-things live their lives trying not to be gorged upon. Then the non-starvers come in and finally set them free. But maybe, just maybe, their exiled. The pig king and his followers probably left to rule his land or to avoid being exiled. Just think about it for a minute. Idk what got into me to make this long thing, but I think it's worth it. Long live the Don't Starvers!
