Oh man. I'd laugh if this weren't so internally painful. 

I did try to hatch a smallbird myself once, with carefully-monitored success. Then as it followed me everywhere and hounds started to come, I ran to the houndtraps, silently hoping that maybe smallbirds would be tooth-trap-proof like I was.   As the hounds came it happily bounced around in the traps and I presumed it was safe. Then after all the hounds had died and I came back later to gather the loot, it hit a tooth-trap and swiftly perished.

Oh no! I had had a similar experience ;w; My reliance on tooth traps is one of the reasons why I never hatch smallbirds anymore :')

This has been sitting up on my DA wanting reply, but now looking at it again, it has warranted answer. 
(I'll still keep it tabbed up on DA until I answer.)
The background and shading/atmosphere is really intense, it really emphasizes some dark aspect to his Triumphant form.  The background actually really got me in particular when I came to see it here.  Especially with the 'direction of flow' it seems to have and the placement of the character, the lighting direction with the background... All very nice.

You think he looks like Leonardo DiCaprio? XD I mainly came up with that idea because I couldn't help but think he had some girl-ish features when I first made him. It's probably due to his round/short face shape ^^;

Somehow this seems to fit Wigfrid. Maybe it's the work you did with that expression.
None have the courage to return this warrior's stare without being frozen by fear as if into stone.
Or, uh... Maybe it actually is stone.

I wonder if those snake-braids are just snakes that really like hugging, so they tried to hug each other. They're really cute. I wonder if she loves her head-snakes. 
The expression is very fitting to her, this is one of my favorites.

This is my other favorite, I see how creepy it is. But it's kind of creepy in a good way? It's not over-done, the only disturbance is the extra set of eyes. But with that being the only 'creepy' aspect, it's amplified by being the singular focus and then further amplified by his expression and pose. Really good job with this. 

Wes and Wigfrid are some of my favorite characters though, so of course I'm biased towards them, heh.

The lighting is actually really pretty in this. I love how you did the background and included the cupid statue, and the rose garden and wrought metal fence reminds me of some kind of... Rejuvenated Gorge scenery. 
...Aaand as I'm typing this I finally realize she's burning the beautiful rose bushes. Typical.  XD
