Top 5 Don't starve soundtracks?

Hi! I was listening to some sweet grooves and I thought, "what are the best soundtracks in DS?"

So I decided to go through them all, and make a top 5 list. Then I made this thread to see what you guys think are the best soundtracks?

My list would be:

5. The Don't starve shipwrecked theme! (the new one ofc) It's just really cool to hear a different style of music, but still having that feeling of DS in it. This one's my favourite out of the SW soundtracks, it feels so epic!

4. The don't starve theme! (they're both great!) I love the DS theme. It brings out that sense of curiosity that we all have while playing DS, but most of all it brings out that sense of dread that there's something out there... lurking behind us...

3. Hoedown! As a Woodie main, I couldn't leave this one out. It makes me laugh everytime I hear it, and makes me want to run around and get drunk with that beavery power!

2. Summer Jobs! This is the only reason that I like summer. It's such an awesome theme, and I listen to it all the time while drawing or while I'm playing other games. Great job on this one!

1. Ragtime! This one's perfect in everyway. This theme SCREAMS Don't starve. I didn't know what it was or where it came from the first time I heard it on youtube, and I thought it was a nice little song, kinda creepy though. But then I played the adventure mode, and it all made sense. It has haunted Maxwell for hours upon end, and even better is that you can turn the gramophone off. If you free Maxwell while it's off you'll get trapped on the throne, and the gramophone will start playing again, making it the most disturbing, creepy and evil song in the game. And that's exactly the kind of song that DS needs. It's the greates soundtrack in DS, and it will always be... Turning it back on is also the funniest joke in DS.. poor Maxwell.

jk, literally the only reason I avoid insanity is because that track gives me a headache. I never do magic because of that track.

I think Summer Jobs should be switched out with spring cleaning. It's just such a cheerful and happy tune!

I think every track is in the right season, my favorite ones are: Work It Like A Hurricane, Spring cleaning and I don't know how is called the Don't starve together theme but you know wich one is, my favorite by far is Summer jobs, I use it in my phone for calls, but nobody calls me

Same here. I both love it and hate it at the same time. It sounds fun and bouncy but signals that you're in the season where seeing your items bursting into the flames is the norm.

No joke. When I'm wearing headphones especially. I stay sane specifically to stop that horrid noise. That's actually a compliment to the composer. If my character isn't sane, neither am I. It's brilliantly annoying.

Now where did I leave that Advil...

My thought precisely. It's difficult to create an ambiance that's not quite aggravating enough that it's unbearable, but just enough to drive you nuts.

Yeah the insanity sound is perfect. It doesn't just make your character insane, it also makes YOU insane!

Well, here comes my list:
1. Work It Like A Hurricane Because that 0:27 moment is cool
2. Hoedown
3. Spring Cleaning
4. Working the Heat
5. Shipwrecked menu theme (old one)

5) Working in the Rain – just for that bit with strings(?) from 0.13 to 0.26.

4) Working Through Winter – my favourite “seasonal” track. Even though winter isn’t the hardest season, this score does a great job of invoking the feeling of hopeless struggle against the forces of nature. It’s like it’s saying: “Yeah, yeah, go on, chop that tree. We both know that soon you’re going to freeze to death anyway”.

3) Cave Danger – I admit, I’m a big sucker for chorus blurting random vowels in your ear, and I feel like of all caves/ruins tracks this one uses it the most effectively.

2) DST main menu theme – a worthy successor to the DS theme. It captures the game’s morose yet whimsical tone perfectly. Besides I feel like its waltz-like melody fits Charlie and her love for the theatrics very well.

1) ROG release trailer music – I'm not sure if this counts, since it's not in the game itself, but I don't care. It's awesome! All that brass and electric guitar-sounding thingy just scream "Big things are coming. And they're coming TO MESS YOU UP!"

Honorable mention - Ragtime. It's infinitely catchy!

In no particular order, mine are

1. Ragtime - A song that shows the feel of Don't Starve, but as something I could really see being used (or rather, having been used) in real life.

2. DS Theme - It soooo fits the feel of Don't Starve. Making it feel dark and yet twistedly whimsical.

3. Hoedown - I just laugh too hard when going on a beaver rampage, all the while having banjo music blasting in my head.

4. Summer Showdown - One of the coolest boss themes that I've ever heard in gaming. It makes me want to go and pick fights in summer just to hear it.

5. DST Main Theme - It seems to me to be a somewhat creepier version of the regular DS Theme. It's like Charlie said "You know how Maxwell was using you for an elaborate puppet show? Well show's over. Now things are getting serious."

Mmm, this is tricky. There are so many I love, gosh.

1. D.R. Style
2. Shipwrecked Theme (New)
3. Ragtime (of course)
4. Working the Ruins
5. Don't Starve Main Theme

I also like Working Through Winter because I feel like it just gives a real sense of....cold? Sort of how Pokemon Ruby's "Drought" gives a real sense of what it is; heat. A drought. Hopelessness. It gives a similar feel, only with freezing.

This is a stupid comparison.

So true! The ROG trailer is one of the best trailers ever! I got so hyped while watching it and the music was pure awesomeness! And to top it all off the ending was so cool! I thought it was gonna be he biggest boss in the game... too bad...

1. The Efs of Winter: This song gets me so pumped and sounds so great I just wish there was a way to remove the muffled music
2. Cave Work: This song is so catchy every time im in the caves I always hum this theme.
3. Spring Cleaning: This music always cheers me up although spring is a real drag this theme makes it better.
4. Summertime Fight: oh goodness this song is so good and https://youtu.be/t1xWA5SsVtg?t=30m58s that counter melody sounds so good.
5. Spring into a fight: Once again another great song I also always hum this tune.

The ancient sound of the start of the Shipwrecked is the best, I do not know why changed
