That actually explains why all character names begin with W. I thought it was just a quirk, but that makes sense.

That also reminds of the John Cusack movie Identity

where a serial killer hunts people who all share the same birthday.

I think it was just a coincidence that Klei decided to roll with.

You can fight using meat but you can't eat it

Two out of four items in its construction are inedible. Also, eating raw meat with possibly over a dozen types of blood on it is not recommendable to the regular person.

The real nonsense here is that Wilson makes ham with uncured and undried meat.

But I agree with most of the others.  : P  Maybe Maxwell is so frail because he spent a long time being worn out by shadow magic?  Or Wickerbottom is really badass.

I can't agree with that last statement more. I mean...SHE CAN CALL LIGHTNING AND VOLCANIC BOULDERS FROM NOWHERE!

Wickerbottom is basically the Granny Weatherwax of the Don't Starve universe.

...and "Weatherwax" is ANOTHER excellent W name!  :D Two Ws, even.

(Don't ask me who the other Discworld equivalents would be, I have no idea.  Possibly Susan = Wendy...?  I don't think any of them would be Nanny Ogg, since none of the characters have a dirty enough mind*.)

...Notorious

*As far as we know.

A single beefalo can have babies

Asexual budding? lol Maybe they're all hermaphrodites or possess storage organs for... on second thought let's not get into that.

-Here's something: Wilson can build what is essentially a small, impromptu refinery out of rudimentary materials, as well as numerous other pieces of complex machinery. But a gate? A house to live in? Too much to ask for.

-Also at the risk of outing myself as a Big Nerd®, Spiders that have six legs are not spiders. Spiders with one body segment are not spiders. Whatever those things in DS are they are not true spiders, and yet they produce silk. Maxwell sucks at taxonomy confirmed.

I can make perfectly healthy meatballs out of three poisonous mushrooms and a piece of toxic meat.

Abigail has the intelligence of a brain damaged cockroach, despite being an ex-human.

Hammering flattened walls gives you everything needed* to make brand new walls.

Webber says "That could feed us for days!" when inspecting a tallbird egg in its nest, but the egg only gives you 37.5 hunger. if you cook it.

Not sure if somebody mentioned it, but sea being the 'invisible wall'. I mean, okay, a living animal probably wouldn't jump in, but things like tumbleweeds get stuck on basically nothing.

If you're chasing something, the easiest way is to make it get stuck on a wall of good ol' thin air.

Who can sleep but your character would rather wake up starving to death the. Cut down on his beauty rest. Normal sleeping doesn't heal you but if you build a tent or stick some fur on your roll now your character will feel better

Also you lose a lot less hunger sleeping at dawn  then you do at night even if the day or dawn are longer then nighttime makes sense to me.
