Wave after Wave

Meritursas hisses in response, coiling his body into a more threatening shape.  He holds his claws at the ready, and his fluke tendrils fan out to make himself seem bigger.  His pupils turn into slits, which are lost in the furious glow of his eyes.

"I will rid this ocean of your tainted flesh."

(RIP Murterusas

kill by racism/species-ism/social class-ism/cockiness)

Dragon had grabbed and stuffed as much as she could carry, but there were still more. So many more. She was starting to feel the need to breath now. No, she couldn't leave yet. She needed all of them. All of these shinys were hers; she couldn't leave any behind. Not a single piece. Hers. All hers.

Dragon shook her head. Greed was clouding her judgement. She wouldn't have any of the shinys if she drowned. Forcibly tearing herself away, the dragon began paddling back to the surface. She would just dump her current load onto the boat before going back for the rest. All the rest. All of them.

She roars with laughter, swinging one of her crab claws through the water. Meritursas is struck on his side, and sent swirling like dust with the current born from her movements. Her eyes bulge and flicker, as she spreads her tendrils to seem larger herself. Ink pours from her mouth in a thick, oily waterfall and bleeds into the seawater like dye.

Meri is dazed for a few seconds by the sheer power behind the blow, but he recovers quickly, swinging his tendrils to stop himself.  In a huge burst of speed, he rushes towards the enormous creature and is quickly ripping into its exposed flesh.

"You just got better! You're freaking me out!" Jaw had never used such a big word before not that, that was the first thing on Gilda's mind.

Wheke takes a step back. "Maybe you shouldn't have eaten that... I don't know what that does..." Could it be another kind of poison? Wheke would have to go find grunkle to ask...

Silven had been looking over his fur, sometimes he'd try to push off the liquid but seeing as it didn't work he then started to walk rather fast around the ship. This would be fine, it was going to be fine. He just needed the cure of course! Yes just needed to figure out the cure, but where to start? What if there is no cure? Was he going to look like this forever? He was soon rushing around making a weird chattering like noise. Today was not going well for him.

Kate was now curled up on her side, drained and shivering. It was so cold in here. How she wished she had her blanket.

(I'm going to assume the leach kept doing nothing since Lipton didn't address it so bleh)

Paddling up to the surface was more difficult than Dragon had anticipated with all the extra weight of the shinys, but her head eventually broke the surface and she forced herself to take deep breaths through her nostrils lest she inhale the shinys in her mouth. She than began clumsily swimming after the boat which, judging by how fast both her and the object were going, she wasn't going to catch up with any time soon. It would be easier with her wings spread up for buoyancy, but spreading them would drop the treasure underneath. This meant she had to spend energy on both keeping herself afloat and moving forward.

Meritursas flattens his body into an arrowlike shape and sweeps his tail like a broom.  His tendrils catch the water, propelling him away from the venom.  He shakes his head, a bit dazed from that last strike, and dives in to attack again.

"Enough!" she booms, tearing the claw from the bird's uvula and bringing it down swiftly in attempt to crush him. He snakes around her blow, but the force of it sends him struggling for control of his movements again until the water settles. She lashes out with a tendril next.
