He quickly collects himself and swims over to the snakey fur thing.

(Snakey?)

Otto sees Meri and swims to the surface to say "So you wanted to join me after all. Care for a race? I would be interesting to challenge a... tersi to such things" Just then Otto saw something in the water. It looked like a mass of nightmare fuel floating on top of the water. "What is that?"

(I can't find an image but it's the thing you see before swimming horrors start appearing).

Wiffleball just sort of stared at the remains of the railing floating in the lagoon, fairly impressed that Jaw was able to crack the wood with such ease. Not half bad, honestly. He gave a nod of thanks to the sharx - he'd find some way to repay him later - and began to search around the boat's perimeter, looking for Syndir. Now, where'd he blast off to?...

(I don't think Meri can actually see it cos he isn't insane... unless he has really good senses... or y'know, game mechanics)

As Otto paddles towards the weird(o) shadow thing, it grew and shaped into what looked like the loch ness monster. It turned to Otto with blank souless eyes. "Stands back Meri, I got this one" Otto said "FITE ME M8!" Otto raised his fists out of the water.

(RP logic. Plus it sounds cooler than how the game works)

"Fighting the shadow monsters! They've come back for revenge" As Otto attempted to attack the creature, his hand went right through it as if attacking air. "Odd, that usually works" Then Otto quickly dived to dodge the shadow. He couldn't say anything underwater so he continued trying to attack it from underneath.

(I just realized this RP is almost 300 pages long and it hasn't changed seasons once. Hurricane season should come soon.)

(I know there were storms, but there was no hail.)

(Right?)

(So I'm pretty sure it should be Hurricane Season once this RP reaches page 300)

(Because I'm 99% sure that storm before wasn't from hurricane season. Maybe.)

(If I'm wrong please don't hurt me.)

(Shrug. All things considered, only about 4-6 days have passed, timewise. I'm guessing it's day 5, but I could be wrong.)

Wiffleball peered off one side of the deck, gazing down at the turquoise waters for a few seconds before turning around and searching elsewhere. Considering how few places there were to check, he was genuinely surprised he still hadn't seen anything of Syndir yet. Heck, Syndir should've been easy to find, since he was always wearing that bright-red cloak. Where could he possibly be? Well...maybe the explosion...he shook his head to rid himself of the thought. No, no. Syndir had to be somewhere. There was no way a person could've just vanished into thin air like that.

At least, he hoped not.

(@Zeklo, nudge nudge.)

(With the amount of stuff they've been through, and the distance they've traveled, I'd peg their time closer to a month.  Sure we haven't been doing a good job at keeping a decent day/night cycle, but we could make the excuse that they stayed up through the nights.  Or that we skipped a few days on some of the boating sessions.)

(and actually the point of the storms was to show hurricane season was coming)

Caution is advised.

(TAKE COVER!!!!!)

(Also, if you give Wallan coffee, he might just instantly fall asleep, because I might have him have ADHD like I do. Or maybe I won't. Should I?)

(Actually, I decided I won't. For comity.)

(Or maybe I will... I HAVE NO IDEA ANYMORE)
