They could of celebrated with a fish, one without poison. It would of been the greatest friendship to ever, uh, friend. A determined look grew onto Malii's face. Unless of course it ment the death of anybody or any friendship, or the destruction of the ship, or if it involved eating 1,000 electric eels, or if it involved running away from a giant Tursai the size of a mountain. Okay, there's a lot of things, but still, she would try! "oh, how careless of me!" She unwrapped Otto and let him lay down on her tendril, which was a heck of a lot more comfortable than the hard wooden floor. "can i get anything for y-" Malii was interrupted by the sudden apperence of the tropical Tursai. "who is that?" Malii had made up her mind NO MATTER WHAT IT TAKES She would befriend this colorful Tursai. Well, when it reached them. There was no way she was swimming all the way over there and back. She was too laz- I mean, she was busy resting. Resting from picking up that otter. Yeah. That's extremely exhausting work. She turns her head to see what's wrong, but quickly realizes she's completely soaked in freezing cold water and she couldn't help him without hurting him more. Then she looks down to Wiffleball, seeing, to her dismay, brand new patches of scorch marks. She had hurt him again... The splash in the distance went unnoticed by her. It didn't, however, go unnoticed by Dragon, who now stared in wonderment at the very pretty, very shiny sea monster that was leaping out of the water. (Jeez Malii, calm down 0_0 Otto is just a simple otter with average intelligence. All he wants right now is to be cured of poison) Otto was able to lay back a bit more comfortably now that he wasn't held tightly against his will. Mallii was about to ask him something when another Tursai burst out of the water in the distance. Everyone was staring in bewilderment. Eh, Otto's seen prettier colours on birds. Did no one cared whether this thing was a friend or foe? Did it want a fight? Did it want to kill Dara's character and spit out a new character? Otto had two choices: jump down onto the boat and seek cover to rest or jump back into the water and attempt to take down this beast before it eats someone. "Well the answer to that decision is obvious" Otto said out loud, accidental "TO ARMS BEAST!!" Otto shouted, and jumped off Malii's tendrils into the ocean below. I know I need to rest Otto thought, but I can't back down now. The fate of the crew rest on my hands and my hands alone... I don't wanna see anymore people die. (I know it's suicidal. Otto mustn't be thinking straight. Please help 0_0 Also every now and then I give out little hints and nods to Otto past but I feel people may not notice it and just shrug it off as normal behavior/dialogue from him. Maybe I should make it more pronounced... or maybe I should ask Chris to see is another backstory/sidestory is even allowed). She was undetectable, leaving no sign of life except the ripples and her scent, which was easily masked by the sheer amount of other fish in the water. The clearing is left silent, free of all noise the crew itself wasn't making. It stays quiet for a while, before... You feel dread wash over you, despite whether you may have spotted the tursai or not. Otto shook his head. "I can't be feeling fear now. There's a beast to be slain, a battle to be won! But for now, I shall retreat" Then Otto swam back to the boat. Least this gives me sometime to prepare, he though.
