Well Wilton is a male name and so is Webber. Plus they're both living or formerly living thigns and thus would have genders, so probably they have canonical gender.

Probably, we need to wait for someone beat adventure mode with them. Lol.

It doesn't rain in winter, so he can't get struck by lightning and get overloaded. Considering anti-winter is a heatwave, it probably won't rain during it either.

True but maybe u could make FLASH STORMS

I don't know if they changed her in the files and it hasn't been updated on the wiki, but the last time I checked she was wearing a dark pink dress. She isn't more pale than any of the other human characters, from what I can tell.I remember hearing somewhere that the devs mentioned her being a vegetarian, but I've never gotten a source. Plus, I refuse to believe it because I want her to be something cooler than the 'token flowerchild'. I view her as the young daughter of an upper-class family who gets sucked into the world, has no idea what's going on, and is completely terrified of everything; she's much funnier that way.

It was an interview with Kevin. He said something about a vegetarian character, then said maybe it could be Winnie. Not those exact words though.I agree she's probably got no idea what's going on. She seems like a sort of nice flowery loves bunnies sort of character, so unless there's some aspect of her we don't know yet, I would guess she would be weaker at combat, loose some sanity for killing stuff and be a vegetarian. I couldn't really guess what her special ability is until we know more about her.

Nice changes but Wx-78 is kinda Op but it should always a easy mode one and Abigil shoulf]d be really strong cause wendy penality Is Crazy Abigil should at least kill a level 3 spider dem and take half life of treeguard or else you will fight just like before but weaker D:]

Since I don't know the gender of the many people who post on this fourm, by default my sentence labels them as males. Someone called me out for not to long ago infact.

even though the new character IS a male, english does in fact work that way. It is just less common now that everyone must be politically correct. but when you don't know the sex of someone, it's technically grammatically correct to refer to them as a he. (though nowadays both are correct)

Thank you, both! (And by the way it's correct since the 16th century)

Because english doesn't actually work that way; that's your preference. There are at least a half-dozen ways to refer to a person whose gender is unknown/irrelevant/nonexistant etc. now, the oldest of which as has already been told you being them.

Then list them, please.

Nope. English isn't your second language is it?

This won't be said, sorry.

Can't seem to properly quote your post Mathspy but in addition to the normal usage of they/their/them (which apparently has been in use since the middle ages!, we have:xe/xirshi/hir (I've been told the preferred pronoun for hermephrodites?)ze/zhe/zir/zhir/zhim/mer (i have no ****in clue how that works i'm not going to try but I think I smashes two similar sets together?)ve/ves/verhu/hus/hum'e/'s/h'...do you know what there's more than I realized, have a link to wiki.Apparently "co" is also used in international bylaws to prevent (headdesks into oblivion) people from denying women any rights on syntax semantics, and "thon" was at one point in the dictionary, conceived as an abreviated "that one."

Wx78 Can eat gears to boost max stats (Hunger 100 -> 200, Health 100 -> 400, Sanity 100 -> 300). It takes 15 gears to fully upgrade yourself (they carry over between teleportates). (specific numbers subject to change, of course!)So he will Start with 100/100/100?Thats kinda like a Wes thats gets better over time.Feels kind hardcore before you get some Gears.

I just thought of something.

What if the skulls are used for Wilton to put on his head, and when a skull is on his head he talks like the skull that its based off? For example, if Wilton puts on Wilson's skull, he talks like Wilson and says the lines.

OR maybe putting on the skull based off the characters gives you the character's ability. So if Wilton put on Wx78's skull, he would get his perk of eating spoiled food with no penalties. However, to not make this extremely OP, Wilton would have to get the skulls somehow, maybe with the other skeletons or something, and the skull would have to have a cooldown period.

And, btw I hope this wasn't suggested. :D

Yep, it was already suggested!:cool2:

Most likely; (IMHO) Woodie or Wilton. Outside chance of Webber, William or Wilbur. Likely chance of an unexpected twist I didn't forsee in this post.

Well, Kevin promised monkeys eventually but it wasn't going to be for awhile. I can't imagine Wilbur not having sociable perks with other monkeys.

Webber hasn't had any news on him but I don't see why he would have a talking inventory item. I bet he can talk with spiders, and to pile a talking inventory item on top of that for a reason I can't come up with makes me think its not him this time.

Woodie could very easily have a talking axe and some curse related to nature or insanity. But unless he got stuck in the caves trying to chop down a bunch of mushtrees, I don't think he is our cave update character.

I think we need more info on William before we get him as Maxwell's past self. And I would be surprised if William just isn't Maxwell Backstory.

Wilton both is cursed and can not talk. He only rattles and moans. A talking item would help him, where everyone else its just a cosmetic.

Edit: Those tentipillars also drop skeletons, and Klei changed it so they only drop one skeleton per day. If they were afraid of the skeletons over crowding the caves, wouldn't they make them fall apart into ash after awhile or something? A daily limit makes me think the skeletons have a unseen value coming.

For Winnie's abilities, I sort of thought it would be interesting for her to run away from aggro'd mobs when insane. Though, considering that this could end very, very, badly so many times, I think she could run faster when insane. If we want to take the childish route with her, we could say that the candy/desert items give her additional sanity, and that she can play with graveyard trinkets for sanity, destroying them afterwards, opposed to just giving them to the pig king. That doesn't make her that fun, though. She'd be missing something unique and entertaining.

mr kevin what about maxwell? or the new character?

Kevin's already said that Maxwell will likely have to be in another update. There's not enough time. Starting tomorrow will be testing for what has already been made, including the new character.

Do you know what time the open testing will be live?

Can't seem to properly quote your post @Mathspy but in addition to the normal usage of they/their/them (which apparently has been in use since the middle ages!, we have:

xe/xir

shi/hir (I've been told the preferred pronoun for hermephrodites?)

ze/zhe/zir/zhir/zhim/mer (i have no ****in clue how that works i'm not going to try but I think I smashes two similar sets together?)

ve/ves/ver

hu/hus/hum

'e/'s/h'

...do you know what there's more than I realized, have a link to wiki.

Apparently "co" is also used in international bylaws to prevent (headdesks into oblivion) people from denying women any rights on syntax semantics, and "thon" was at one point in the dictionary, conceived as an abreviated "that one."

You are kidding right? Those are

Invented Pronouns

A very abandoned invention too, how many people here knew about it? And go like "STILL! They are part of English." Because they are not, English is ENGLISH. Not "howsmfab jdiklo adesol manred" (I just said 'this is not English' in my INVENTED English...)

And now using the simple table provided in the link you gave us we conclude that the REAL ways are:

[*]He OR she (But obviously She is not accepted to refer to unknown)

[*]One

[*]She/He OR S/he

[*]THEY

Yes, thank you.
