Today is polish day, where I try to tie up all of the loose ends / missing sounds / etc with the new character stuff. The new character has a talking inventory object, and a curse.

That makes me wonder, what will Wilton's horrible curse be? will he be a dead, headless version of an existing character carrying around a talking skull? Will he not be able to reap the benefits of boons because he has yet to die and place them? hmmmmmmmm. . . .

Will the new character be unlocked with experience? Or will it be doing something specific, like how Wes and Maxwell are unlocked? Or would that spoil it? :) Edited by oCrapaCreeper

Worst part is that this character is gonna be right there staring me in the face and first I have to unlock him, I hope it doesn't take too long. If he is unlocked with XP then that would be no problem what so ever.

Ooh, I'm intrigued. Will I enjoy this character enough to actually not play as Wilson for once? I suppose we'll find out.

I think all the characters now will be more interesting to play as. I have had the same issue as well where I just don't find any reason to play as the other characters except Wilson and the occasional Wolfgang. I'm really excited for this new character.

Probably. That would be one hell of a troll move. :) I would kinda doubt Kevin would do that though, for the purpose of bug testing. It's possible that the new character may not even on the list of unimplemented characters from the wiki. There are probably a lot more character artwork on Klei's side of the game files that we don't know about. Maxwell's character art could have been already made for months, we had no clue until his art was put in in public beta test for adventure mode (Although his large portrait was in the game files a while before he was actually added) Edited by oCrapaCreeper

Yeah, but they said we've seen this person before. And using common sense, we conclude it's not going to be William.

Yeah, I know. I was asking how ConeyKrab concluded that he wasn't going to be the new character.

It would make no sense. Maxwell is already playable. The only way playing as William would make sense is if it took place before he was on the throne. Even then, the Don't Starve world was just void when he arrived.
