Fixing On The Fly: This book allows all currently equipped armor (grass, log, marble, slurtle) and helmet (pigskin) and weapon (spear) to get an additional 20% boost

I like this one. Although I think it should basically just be like the sewing kit. Maybe just for armor. Maybe one for weapons and one for armor (neither works on shadow sword/armor). And the material cost should be steep. But, that would make her the only character that could keep tentacle spikes and marble armor indefinitely without entering caves. (Although considering how often she'll be visiting the swamps for all these books, that might be the least of her worries)

It will probably encourage a bit more world hopping to find the right setup. My current Wendy world, my main base is at a triple intersection flanked by frog ponds to the left, beefalo to the south, and an ENORMOUS swamp to the east. With just barely enough space in the middle for a base, pig village, and such. It would be perfect for Wickerbottom I think. But it's been rare in my experience to find an acceptable base location abutting a swamp.

I believe it was said somewhere that the point of rebalancing the characters was to make them differ from each other in play style? Which makes a lot of sense to me, since that makes them more interesting than if they were all played the same way but had their own little gimmick.With that in mind, Wickerbottom already feels a bit unique. Her extra tech level gives you a nice head start which is very cool if you want to rush through the land. I recently completed adventure mode as her, and the only structures I built throughout the five chapters were a few science machines, ten drying racks(on chapter four) and a ton of campfires, because I was always on the run. It felt like a different and enjoyable way to play.I know a lot of people rather stay in a sandbox world for hundreds of days though, so perhaps her books could be a way to make her late game unique as well? Like say it would require an alchemy engine(or even shadow manipulator) for her to make them. The books seem nice at the moment, no crazy new abilities, but rather more effective ways to do things. But perhaps the materials for them could be paper(as a unique material only Wickerbottom could refine from wood) plus something that's not as common?Another thing ... I always thought it could make sense that Wickerbottom gains a small amount of sanity for refining materials.

Dark Poetry - special tab with a new recipe (1 Papyrus and 1 Crow Feather).

Using this item on a hostile ghost will result in seducing it (with the power of beautiful-gloomy writting). They would be an addition to Abigail and appear just like her older version (with also lower stats and without regeneration). Each one will have its own spawn chance at night making Wendy truly "Have visitors at night" (Notice the plural);

Wickerbottom

Three Little Pigs - reading it will befriend surrounding Pig (being equal to feeding each one 1 piece of meat);

The Tortoise and the Hare - reading it will befriend surrounding Bunnymen (being equal to feeding each one 1 carrot);

Game of Thorns - reading it will MAKE THE WINTER COME;

[old idea for a book]

Encyclopaedia: heavy book that can be used as a weapon (axe strength) that is indestructible (because of its hard cover);

It also has a cooldown - once a day you can read it giving you a chance to find a blueprint (that you don't have);

Additional Pyromancer ability - throwing a fireball (effect like with the use of a Fire staff but with a AOE) with a 5 min colldown. I know it's not much but common... Just for the 'awesome' factor! It will probably be only handy for distracting opponents.

The Wickerbottom's changes are great ! Maybe, Wolfgang need to be more warrior-like with weapon and armor by default and without the "heavy stuff" malus.I'm pretty excited and impatient to test those things.

I like your Ideas . I don't really like the ideas of the abilities though, every character would have to get one and I don't think its quite worth it. Well The Book Ideas are great. In addition to your Ideas , here are a few of mine :

I'm a little sad : WickerBottom don't give me this rush of wonder i'll have with the other.Maybe i'm more exigeant because it is my favorite character ?It lack something unique. And we have two Negative instead of one.Maybe she can make a "Armor Manual" : use it on an armor you have and it repair it a little.It seems me balanced : it is unique, and useful, since you can't make some armor, but only obtain by killing monster. But it is not too powerful since you must obtain it before and, this, anyone can do it.If necessary, the recipe could ask more than just reed, like a stinger or a feather.

I'm in the same boat; this upgrade is on the right track but doesn't have enough...UMPH!

Gosh, i never thought this game will get even better than it is, but with all these new character perks is gonna to be even more awesome;-)I also hope there are be some more stuff you can do with a beard (on your face or beard hear) because without poor Wilson is the only one who stay the same while the others are getting more and more unique.

I Love all the new ideas and features, the game needs this for me (for all the chars we need all of these new features, even the creation of new playable/unlockeable chars). I like all the WX-78 new Ideas from the devs (i have found all of them very interesting) but this char is very special for me as a mechanic form of being. The devs should add any kind of range distance weapon/attack in exchange of hunger or health, for example if you are using too much this kind of range weapon you can get overheated and explode so becareful when you use it. The ideas about the lightings, eat mechanical parts and other ones are awesome.I'm waiting for the new char rebalance and the new features for start playing again
