Getting hit by lightning was such a funny way to die. Most recently though I fell asleep while playing and my 600 day character starved to death. That's what I get for playing after work on a weekday. Of course reed trap gets a mention. When I first saw it I literally said "Oh man I hit the jackpot" right before a couple tentacles removed my head from my shoulders. Retepeter Posted October 1, 2023 Share Posted October 1, 2023 My first death that I can remember is picking a fire staff setpiece and getting torn to shreds A recent one is killing Klaus with bone armor and enlightened crown then wormwood's brightshade vine spawned behind Klaus, where I was going to run to avoid the freeze attack (his magic attacks also target brightshade vines). So I thought fast and telepoofed away with my 5% lazy explorer then I died to phase 2 Klaus without my speed bonus. I tried to kill a tallbird for food, but the changing speed and my general lack of skill got me bonked pretty fast. And then I saw the egg-laying animation for the first time. Didn't really like the world I had so I assembled the portal thing, picked Maxwell in my World 2. Barely half a day in I saw a Warrior Pig guarding a singular berry bush, he slugged me and I died because Maxwell moments. My friend opened the chest and died to fire, I tried to save some of his stuff, but panicked and did the little "dance" around the fire, not knowing what to do, till I was exploded by the gunpowder. 2 birds with one chest. I was running by the pengull ice patch on low health as they began to naturally die at the end of winter. The first one died and the rest attacked me thinking that I had killed their little buddy. I forgot whether or not I died, and I think a boat was involved in some way. I think they tried to run away from the moslings onto a boat, then the moslings caused lightning to strike the boat and burn them all. Valase Posted October 3, 2023 Share Posted October 3, 2023 I got combo'ed without armor, I jumped out of the boat that had a houndius, on a farmland with brighshades, the houdius attacked the Bs bulb, which knocked me over to a tall bird that finished the job. There was also an unholy amount of times that a BS knocked me on the water as I was jumping on the boat. Wasn't anywhere near as good at fighting or kiting him back then and didn't use (might not have even existed?) Chili or garlic p or anything and was probably using like tentacle spikes or some lower tier weapon. Had just enough armor and healing food to basically JUST get through the battle and kill him with a few points of health left and my final piece of armor broken. Upon his defeat my character automatically went in to attack a gem deer letting them get a final hit in before dropping their chains and gems and becoming passive. These final hits killed me.. this has happened to me twice back in the day. They're lucky I always let them live after the fight nowadays I should kill them all out of spite.
