I have played Don't Starve Together for a couple of years and in addition to playing the game, I found a lot of fun in collecting the character and item skins, a.k.a. curios. Now I wonder, are there any other passionate collectors? How many unique skins have you collected so far? What are the most rare which you own? I'll go first. Till this day, I have collected 1807 unique skins. Bought over time from the in-game curio shop, from the Steam market, from Twitch and also unraveled for spools. I am very proud to have so many different ones. My rarest are the WX-78 Guest of Honor head (expensive) and the Ancient King's Chest (hard to get) and I am planning to buy the Calico chest (proof of purchase), which got restocked recently. https://klei.gg/calico_chester What about you? You can always buy some cheap distinguished skins on the steam market and unravel them to get more spools quickly. I've been collecting for a while, back when each character only had 3 skins... my goal was just to get all of Maxwell's skins at the time, but I just really liked all of the skins so much. So I've been collecting and collecting. And the rarity of heirlooms has pushed me harder into obtaining every Heirloom (or soon to be Heirloom) Elegant ever released. Uh, including the new Hallowed Nights ones that came totally out of nowhere. I haven't been collecting stream skins or non-heirlooms too much though. I've got 1560 unique skins in total. Bought, traded, woven, got for points, watched a stream, every method possible. Having all of them is really exciting, and I like looking at them and all the little things about them. My rarest skins are Wilson's Guest of Honor (it's like $70 now) and WX's Guest of Honor (also pretty expensive). I also have the black winter hat skin, but I don't really know if that's rare at all besides being a Proof of Purchase. These are all 100% right now, but I don't expect this to last. The most important part is having all of the heirlooms. My pride and joy, my Proof of Purchase Crabpack Both rarities of Tragic Torch The beta skins that were posted about, that we got from beta testing Forge, Gorge and DST Early Access respectfully. Not rare per-se, but I'm just happy to have these chicken slippers back after years being MIA (they were an event skin only around for the Year of the Gobbler event years ago before getting put up on the Klei Rewards page) And of course the skin any self-respecting skin collector has: A pleated shirt. Captain_Rage Posted November 23, 2021 Share Posted November 23, 2021 It was available in Loyal quality long ago, only during one of the first puzzles, but probably added again later but with the Timeless quality for the reason that many players weren't around at that time to give them a chance to obtain it. I believe I have managed to keep at least one of every chest that has been around. If that makes a dragon's hoard or a hamster's hoard is up to the beholder to decide. Unfortunately those treasures don't make the grandest display in-game, so it is probably the latter, but it is a nice collection nonetheless. xD Maybe a veteran's hoard...? I bought rose skins for a lot of characters as well nost of which were over 30$ each. Kinda regret now but I prefer the new skin system way more than how it used to be. Everyone on the team had a different issue, mine (the cook) was that my internet at the time was hot garbage, it went down during our runs over a hundred times, worst part is that it wouldn't be down for long, but JUST enough for me to get disconnected from the match, most likely making us lose the scoreboard placement. That coupled with the fact that RNG could just make you reset (2ND ROUND BREAD ANYONE?), and you have a recipe for disaster (It was sooo tilting when we finally had a non bread run after like 5 resets, and then my internet goes down). The gatherer issue was that he is from the other side of the world from where the server was, and his computer was (I think it still is D= ) pretty bad, so he played with 300 ping and 640 x 480 resolution to barely scrape by with like 20 fps LMAOO, he told me he would have the timing of doing things 3 seconds in advance down, what a gamer. Our first farmer had personal issues on the last 3 days of the tourney and event, and with our previous placement slowly being pushed out of the leaderboard we had to have another run or we wouldn't place. With the Brazilian public dwindling during the last days of the event, there wasn't anyone playing in public servers that I could try to invite. In the last event day I was desperate, so what I had to do was to add someone in a 2/3 private match and ask to join in through the dms (LMAOO), in the hopes of convincing one of them to try to compete with us. Fortunately the ones in already had a grasp of the event, just didn't have the strats down. One of them had to leave, then I asked the other one and he agreed to help. The match we placed was done at the last possible second before the tournament ended (think like ~one hour before in ended), I even remember my internet going down mid match, but we still managed to place 72 to 74. The Timeless rarity was only available to get by completing the Cyclum puzzle during the launch of DST, making it limited. The Loyal rarity got swapped in after the launch of the Metheus puzzle, so that's what you'd get for completing the Cyclum puzzle from now on.
