MikoFanboy Posted November 22, 2021 Share Posted November 22, 2021 I know, I know, we just have Terraria collab a few days ago, so yes, I highly doubt that we gonna get another collab soon, but I also don't think terraria is the last collab, so which game do you think DST may do a collab with in the future? my guess is Minecraft since the begining, the game was highly influenced by Minecraft so I think it would be nice for Don't Starve Together to have an actually collab with it. During the Wortox dlc, Klei even send the game to some Minecraft youtuber (mumbo jumbo and grian) for Minecraft, it's no stranger to collab at things point, just look at Minecraft bedrock edition, it has and still continue to has more collab with a bunch of videogame, cartoon, or the most famous collaborations, the steven in smash so yeah, I think Don't Starve Together x Minecraft could be a possibility -) skin idea: - maybe no common tool (axe, pickaxe shovel, hoe) skin because base on the Terraria, pixel tool will be draw in DST style so common tool may has too little change, or they can be Distinguished, Spiffy skin? - Moon glass axe and Glass Cutter = diamond axe and sword - Darksword = Netherite sword it could be more if we count minecraft dungeons -) critters idea: Creeper: 1 gunpowder, 1 pigskin, 1 meat (because Creeper is a bug version of a pig) -) new item: the bell: can be place, when being placed and ring near a pig village (required at least 6 pig house and 6 alive pigman ) will activate a raid with 2 wave wave 1 will have a witch and illagers, the witch will drop potion (they can reuse the potion from the hallowed night event) wave 2 will be the boss the bell cooldown is 5 days (could be more or less base on how you feel about the boss item) if the witch and illagers successfully kill 6 pig, the event will end in wave 1, if not, wave 2 will start (during wave 2, all of the pig can die) -) boss: the Evoker (because boss like ender dragon or wither might be too strong, collab boss shouldn't be too "late game"?) did you know evoker is a boss in MC dungeons? there, now you know it -) boss item: a not too strong boss will drop a not too strong item, and it's totem of undying when player has a totem of undying in their inventory, if that player die, they will be instantly revive to 30 health (with no item drop) with a 5 seconds force field that block 100% damage make this somewhat a better version of life giving amulet? --------------------------------------------------------------- that is my idea, what about your? SinancoTheBest Posted November 22, 2021 Share Posted November 22, 2021 With how many collabs they are doing on a weekly basis, I wouldn't mind a jetpack joyride crossover. Besides I imagine Halfbrick Studios and Klei Entertainment would be able to cooperate well. On Jetpack Joyride's side, they could get character skins for DST representatives like Wilson, Willow, Wendy, Webber etc. Vehiclle skins go, DST can offer skins for Crazy Freaking Teleporter (telelocator/lazy deserter) Mr. Cuddles (Dragonfly), Sleigh of Awesome (Gemdeer), and Wave Rider (boat with malbatross wings). They could come up with super cool lunar, Mecha-Deerclops and thulecite S.A.M. skins. Jetpacks are a bit farfetched but I can imagine neat ones like Lunar Beam (inspired from moonstone event, emitting blue light and transforming scientists into werepigs), Wes Balloons, 2 Winona catapults ascending by throwing rocks strait down, Shadowy nightmare fuel exhaust. Best part would come from backgrounds as the Constant would offer really neat and new backgrounds to ride through, such as Lunar Island, Ancient Archives, Ruins, Decidious, Waterlogged, Savannah, Swamp etc. In general this collab would offer Jetpack Joyride a lot of design space with primitive/survival/D.I.Y aesthetics. In turn, DST would receive many mechanical, Wagstaff-crafts style additions and skins. I can imagine the main attraction of the update being a secret mechanical island with obstacles and references, which would grant a very primitive jetpack, allowing players to jump/float over cave abysses, chasms and even water for a short amount of time. Mike23Ua Posted November 22, 2021 Share Posted November 22, 2021 A collab with Minecraft would probably be a world mash up pack with DST related stuffs in it (like the Skyrim mash up) on Minecraft’s side, and well maybe Zombies that spawn at dusk from Minecraft’s side. Not complete dark but the almost dark hours. I highly highly HIGHLY doubt Klei will do a collab with Minecraft though- other then to increase DSTs popularity there’s not much to collab with in that game: Look at the Terraria collab as an example: A game with 400+ mobs and the only mob we got was the Eye & it’s peeper minions. Gonna be honest and just state I sort of expected Sandworms or Terraria Gargoyles/Gremlins I can’t think of a single mob from Minecraft (aside from Zombies at night) that would be cool to add to DST. As far as what I personally want to see- a collab with DC comics- and mostly just for skin/belonging things and no actual game content unless they want to add some “Poison Ivy” inspired flora/fauna to the world or something. Theres a Crowbar Hammer Skin, A Hockey Stick Spear Skin and A freaking BANANA Boomerang skin… this needs to happen already. I want a comically over-sized clowns mallet, or Harleys baseball bat.. But Getting a collab with DC may be too costly.. so odds of it ever happening are very low. I think having a frozen stiff smiling Joker Fish Hambat skin wouldn’t be too far removed from the Fishy Hambat skin anyway. Theres tons of potential in “skins” but as far as actual in game mobs/biomes I would prefer Klei be very cautious in what they add from other games- and to instead continue to put their own spin on things. Millions of you probably don’t want a crossover with Fortnite or SMITE- I’m Sorry But Balloon Battle Mech Wes has to become a reality.. and I can Legitimately see that working (and well I might add) as a skin in SMITE for a character like GEB. On the Fortnite side of things- I would adore getting a Fishy Hambat or Tentacle Spike skin to smack people up with- Bonus points if they can add Wilson as a playable character skin that looks like the one you can buy here on the Klei.shop https://shop.klei.com/product/wilson-vinyl-figure/ Yes.. I just shamelessly plugged an advertisement in for the Klei shop and the currently ongoing Krampus discount sale (I have absolutely no Shame in what I have just done..) A crossover with these games doesn’t always mean “let’s ruin DST” could simply mean I just want to smack people with a Fishy Bat in Fortnite as a Wilson that looks like that toy above. As far as what those games can do for DST- We could get simple useless stuff like a trinket we can trade away to pig king something so subtitle that only someone who plays those games are going to notice. Imagine if the cube from the horror movie series HellRaiser was added to the game as a trinket, to anyone who hasn’t seen HellRaiser it’s just going to look like a funny looking rubrics cube/ puzzle but to anyone who knows what it actually is- it’ll be a cool little nod to them. Ultimately crossovers are made with the intent to get peoples attention- and to maybe bring in new players to the game. It is not and never has been “let’s turn DST into Smite/Fortnite” But I can’t lie and say I wouldn’t absolutely adore Balloon Battle Mech Wes as an actual thing in a game where it would fit properly into.
