Wrong skin color on some hand skins

What the title says. I have just noticed recently with Wanda, that some hand skins that aren't gloves always show white skin, no matter the survivor's actual skincolor, which makes it look weird. I get, that some of the wristband stuff is still worn over gloves, but some are also definitely supposed to be worn on bare skin - Ursurper's handwraps for example, it wouldn't make sense to wear gloves UNDER more gloves and they show the hands as white. I'll include pictures as soon, as I have time, it's the same with Walter and probably more characters. Dunno, if this is something that can be changed to individually align with the character, but it would be nicer, if the skins used the correct skin color.

You're reading my mind! I wanted to address all the same issues, and in fact, I am facing exactly this problem a long back then, while choosing Warly's outfit, but with Wanda it was felt especially acutely, because in her "main" skin, her hands are gloved by default. That is, in order to "remove" them, you need to replace them with something that looks like ordinary hands - bracelets do not affect this. But in this case, the color doesn't match. Of course, you can choose a different skin completely, but in this case the hairstyle changes, and it's just more expensive. I understand why this is so - because the skins works so they is superimposed on the part of the body, and for the most part, the skins that don't completely cover the hands are actually personal. They were drawn specifically for characters with light skin and this was before we had darker characters. And even now there are only three of them - Warly, Walter and Wanda. Plus, there are non-human characters for whom such skins are also not suitable. It would be cool if they redraw them, making them more universal.

This issue has always bothered me. What makes it worse is that despite the sheer amount of skins in this game... Only 1 skin actually changes to match the current characters skin tone...

And that's Woodie's feet skin...
Out of every skin that could change to suit the characters, the barefeet are the chosen skin.

I hope eventually other skins that show bare skin get updated to change per the character currently using them.

I would absolutely love if they fixed that. There are so many skin combinations I could do but then the hand skins break it all by making my poor plant's hands white.

Completely agree, I'm glad that Woodie's feet skin does do it though, it's encouraging that the technology is already there.

Some feet skins suffer from this aswell.

Only the "Free Roaming Feet" one seems to work properly yet other various flip flop or barefoot anklet skins all have white skin.

This is gonna be amazing! Best bit of skin related news I've heard in a hot minute!! 
Would this apply to all sorts of skins that show bare skin too? Here's to hoping!

M, another little thing that I noticed - the Free Roaming Feet skin really does change, but in the case of non-human characters, even this skin takes into account only their "main" appearance. But these are the very characters whose entire color scheme dramatically change depending on the skin. It's cool that these feets turn green if you put them on Wormwood or red if you put them on Wortox, but almost any appearance other than the standard one makes even these colors unsuitable. Of course, making every possible item suitable for every possible appearance is quite a lot of work, but it would be a nice attention to detail.

We've updated all the hands and feet for now. We're going to take a pass at them and see to what extent it's feasible to have different options there. No promises on that one though!

We're going to try to adjust for human bare skin. "Monster" hands like in your screenshot will likely stay the same, and can be thought of more as a costume when worn by other players.

Most the time I just thought these were White Gloves.. that’s what I’ve been using them for on most my characters.. Changing the way they look will probably ruin a lot of my outfits.

(or improve them.. honestly I don’t know.)

Edit: ESPECIALLY These… change these- and you will single handedly ruin 8 outfits I’ve thrown together.

Any chance you can take a look at sleeves from torso skins? When ever I place any kind of skin on the hands some of the sleeves on torso skins disappear. 

I can understand for some of the skins that go up to the shoulders... but sometimes you just want some gloves.

I did a quick pass on the body skins and found that a bunch of Winona's skins were overriding the arms for no reason. Those will be fixed in the next hotfix. If you've got an example of a simple set of gloves overriding the sleeves please let me know and I'll take a look.

I believe it was problem with Wormwood, I'm at work right now so I can't get any examples at the moment.

Yes! Wormwood's skins while it's in bloom overlays the eyebrella.

Okay just let me chime in really quick here...

· You were mistaken, that's Wickerbottom's bare hands coming out of spiderweb-patterned sleeves.

· The only cosmetic that'd change in that lineup of DC inspired costumes is wrestling Wolfgang's torso which would either become bronze coloured or (hopefully) green... Maybe also the tiny slots on the gloves. It's either a wash or an improvement. Certainly not ruining it.
· Even if the changes ruined your outfits, they would also give opportunity for limitless new combinations for the rest of us.
· Your Wanda look is using Jolly Elf Tights from what I can see on the cut-off right side of the picture? Those aren't bare skin and won't be changed.

I understand you're protective of your fashionstarve. But you're worrying over nothing and, really, you're just one drop in the pool. These changes will make more people happy than not.

... as for the topic at hand, I'd like to remind devs this isn't just a "white hands on dark skinned person" issue. Cosmetic pieces like Warly's trawler pants or Walter's survivor boyscout uniform have fixed dark skinned bits that will show on other characters. Be nice of those could also be looked at.

I’m very much aware I’m just one voice against many, but if your going to start changing the way outfits look- you probably need to look at THIS THREAD First to see what people have ALREADY done with their outfits.

Unfortunately this thread also includes people who use mods and content that isn’t in the game.. but for what CAN be done without mods, Klei really needs to look at what’s already been done and what outfits people have already created a change like this could potentially Ruin &/Or Improve.

I will provide mine all in the spoiler below with exceptions to Webber, Wolfgang, Wortox & Winona to show where I have been using these “Skin Colored” skins to Simulate giving my characters White Gloves or White Socks with their shoes, or Cute Little White Slippers (as seen on Wurt) or even epic Creature hands.

Not that it is a big deal since it is such a tiny part of the cosmetic that you can't really see it at all, but the Trawler body item has forearms that are the color of Warly. It's so tiny that it isn't a big deal but I figured I would put it here:
