      [UPDATED] Physical Megapack Disc Issues   04/16/2018

      Update 5/11/2018 We do not have any more information at this time. The last we spoke to 505 indicated that the discs should be ready very soon. We will likely have more information next week; hopefully with full explanation of when and how to get new discs.    Updated: 4/27/2018

      On April 17th, the Don't Starve Megapack was released. Almost immediately, it was discovered that the wrong content was printed on the PS4 retail version of Don’t Starve Mega Pack (the Xbox One version is not affected). The disc contained Don't Starve Together, but was without Don't Starve, Reign of Giants and Shipwrecked. As soon as we confirmed the problem we contacted our retail publisher to find out how this happened and what could be done. It's taken some time to get this far, but this is all the information we have at this time. The current status of the issue is as follows: New copies are currently in print and will be on shelves ASAP, hopefully within a few weeks.  When the new discs arrive in stores, players who already purchased misprinted discs will be able to exchange the disc for a new one in store. Details will follow as we figure out the exact timing, the procedures with specific retailers and what the exchange will entail.  Players who already purchased the faulty disc previous to 4/26/2018 can now contact Klei support HERE for a Playstation Store voucher code that includes Don't Starve Together, Don't Starve, Shipwrecked and the Reign of Giants DLC that you can play now. Please specify your country as certain vouchers only work in certain regions.  New purchasers of the Megapack in store as of 4/26/2018 should be given a voucher at the time of purchase on your receipt. If you do not get a code, contact us ALL purchasers will have a path to get a new disc when they are ready. We do not have details at this time, but we are comitted to ensuring that all players get what they purchased.  We are hearing from some players that some retailers are telling players that they will not be exchanging discs. We believe this to be incorrect and that particular person or location is just misinformed. 505 has ensured us that they are doing their best to make sure these discs are being replaced for all players. We will not allow anybody to fall through the cracks here. We will buy and ship the discs ourselves if we have too.   This was our first major retail release and we're extremely disappointed that our players have been let down with their purchase of the Don't Starve Megapack. We're doing our best to make sure this issue gets resolved as quickly as possible. Thanks everybody for your support and patience.     It's possible there was an old corrupted cached mod file. Glad that it's working now for ya.

    Unfortunately I don't see any crash happening in that log file. Do you get an error screen or does the game just shutdown right away? Is your harddrive full? You can try clearing out your old junk mods. Go to the Mods screen from the main menu, and then clicking on the Clean All (sweep) button.

    Looks like your profile file got corrupted, can you try deleting this file Documents\Klei\DoNotStarveTogether\client_save\profile

    After the crash, can you post your client_log.txt from your Documents\Klei\DoNotStarveTogether directory.

  10. Thanks for reporting the issue. I believe we've tracked down the root cause of the freezes and are putting a patch together to address it. The underlying issue that we tracked down should help us improve DST as well. Much appreciated!
  11. Are you using any specific software on Windows to connect your PS4 controller? I'd recommend going into Game Controllers in the Console Panel, and resetting/configuring the directional sticks.
  12. Yup, you can do this through the PS4 interface itself. Go to the home screen, then Settings, Sound and Screen, then Display Area Settings.

    Spriter should come packaged with the mod tools, and Paint.net is a decent basic image editor.

    The mod tools should be the same on both her computer as well as yours (you can try reinstalling the mod tools to make sure), so unfortunately I suspect there's some other software or configuration on your machine that is causing the problem.

    You can open the .tex files with Steam\SteamApps\common\Don't Starve Mod Tools\mod_tools\tools\bin\textureviewer.exe, and see what symbols are taking up all the space. The limit is a bit fuzzy due to the way the atlasing tool works. It's not the best, and sometimes symbols will fall into the next atlas when there was actually a better optimal solution where everything would fit in the previous atlas.

    It might be a little bit tricky to do this. But it'd be similar to the process of making a character build, but split across two folders. I believe it's possible, but I don't know how straight forward it is. The idea would be to have two different animation builds, but with each having different symbols in them. (I think by splitting the symbols into different directories). You'd then need manually set the symbols from the secondary builds with calls to AnimState:OverrideSymbol.

    This is typically a result of the texture symbols being too large in resolution. Unfortunately our in-game shaders only support 1 texture atlas (UI shaders support 2 atlases for uianims), so symbol frames that end up past the first atlas end up not being rendered. My recommendation there is to either reduce the resolution of the build, or split it out into multiple builds with placeholder low res symbols, and then in the lua code, override symbols with the higher resolution ones from the other build.

    Ahhh unfortunately it looks like whatever was causing the autocompiler to fail on your system is also causing this to fail too.

    You'll want to put the path to the scml files into the command line examples that I posted above.

    Make sure you've got any controllers unplugged. You can also try deleting all the workshop directories from C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Don't Starve Together\mods Can you post you client_log.txt?
  22. It looks like your profile file might be broken. You can delete Documents\Klei\DoNotStarveTogether\client_save\profile, and then starting the game that should be fixed.

There were a couple of accounts that didn't have their Shipwrecked and Reign of Giants keys recorded properly as being used, so now under the new system where the loyal items are automatically granted, the system saw that your key wasn't used yet, so it granted the item to you a second time. You can hold on to the item as a memory of this bug, or I can remove the duplicate from your account. Just let me know what you'd like done.
