OH. MY. GOSH.

YES!

Sincerely,

Cactus

A cookbook from people that aren’t chefs shouldn’t have you THAT excited. If this existed at all, Klei would likely just be licensing real chefs to put a don’t starve sticker and maybe some sprites on a book.

Them doing the book themselves would arguably to worse, Webber and Maxwell reworks delayed because you can’t do 2 things at once.

Even it's just a joke. Like......

PEIROGI:

STEP RIGHT UP! MAKE YOURSELF SOME WONDERFUL PEIROGI!

  • One GIANT egg from one GIANT hairy one eyed beast!
  • One vegetable of your choosing! (Be careful though! It might want to race you!)
  • Anything! And oh boy...... I MEAN ANYTHING will work! (As long as it's RELATIVELY edible!)

This would make me SOOOOOO happy!!!!

Sincerely,

Cactus

My Polish family also makes pierogi. We do them regular size with meat! I've seen them with cheese, berries, salad, lots of things (doesn't mean I like all of them though aha) We make loads and then freeze them. They boil very quickly and so damn yummy.

That just sounds yummy. Now I want Klei to make the merch.
Please, Klei. I can't wait to eat Pierogi. My hunger is draining and my heart has a big down arrow on it, because I want to eat only that.
Other recipes would be nice, too! I'd want to see Honey Nuggets, I love meat with honey. They go along so well.

Today's Recipe: Bacon and Eggs

hqdefault.jpg.201ef42d8961d59e7a34a1982ce31b28.jpgIngredients:

> 2 eggs

> Slices of bacon (up to your liking)

Instructions

1- Fry the bacon in a pan on medium high heat until crispy. Put aside on a plate. Leave the rendered fat in the pan.

2- Use the same pan to fry the eggs. Place it over medium heat and crack your eggs into the bacon grease. You can also crack them into a measuring cup and carefully pour into the pan to avoid splattering of hot grease.

3- Cook the eggs sunny side up: Leave the eggs to fry on one side and cover the pan with a lid to make sure they get cooked on top.

4- Place eggs in the plate, and drip the remaining liquids in the pan over the finished product.

5- Add Salt and pepper to enhance the taste.

Tips

Step up your bacon game with organic bacon if you can find it. It is tastier and has fewer additives.

Fresh thyme can be added at the 3rd stage to enrich the taste.

Halal variant can be made using dried beef jerky.

Today's Recipe: Fancy Spiralled Tubers

Ingredients

599176354_FancySpiralledTubers.thumb.jpg.318fd5d6a54b7e0aad80e13620148c46.jpg> Two Medium Potatoes

> 50 grams of Butter, melted

> 1 Cup of Grated Parmesan Cheese

> 1 Teaspoon Salt

> 1 Teaspoon Black Pepper

> 1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder

> 1 Tablespoon Paprika

> Chopped parsley leaves, to serve

Materials

> Wooden skewers

Instructions

1- Preheat the oven to 180°C

2- Microwave the potatoes for 1 to 1½ minutes, and then let stand for a few minutes to cool down and soften.

3- Insert a wooden skewer into the bottom of each potato and gently push it all the way through to the top. Working in a spiral motion from one side to the other, hold a sharp, thin knife at an angle and cut in the opposite direction you are turning the skewered potato, cutting all the way to the skewer. Take your time and work to make a thin, even spiral all the way down the potato.

4- Gently fan out each potato down the length of the skewer, until you have an even gap between the slices. Brush the melted butter all over the potatoes.

5- In a medium bowl, combine the parmesan cheese, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and salt. Place each skewered potato over the bowl and shovel half the mixture all over each potato until they are entirely coated. Carefully set the potatoes on a baking pan, letting the skewers rest on the sides of the pan so that the potato is suspended.

6- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until nicely browned. Garnish with additional Parmesan and parsley. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Tips

Metal skewers can be used in place of wooden skewers.

Butter enhances the taste, olive oil can be used instead for lighter fat content.

While Paprika and Garlic Powder is commonly enjoyed in this meal, other spices such as Chili Flakes and Cumin are also alternative seasonings.

Spiralled Potatoes can be pushed out of their skewers onto a plate at the end as a serving alternative.

A yogurt based dip goes well with the potatoes. To make the dip, place four tablespoons of natural yoghurt in a bowl, finely zest over one lemon and squeeze in half the juice, then mix well. You can Season to perfection with dried mint, sumac and paprika/chili powder.
