Had no idea Wigfrid was so powerful

Used to always play WX what with 400 hp.    Switched to Wigfrid and wow, can solo dragonfly with 1 body armor, the rest helmets.    Easy to dispatch Moose Goose as well and of course Bearger and Deerclops.   Klaus was easy as well.   Toad is another matter, needed help on that.

I'm curious, what setup did you use, how did you fight her? (kite or facetank) and did you use a panflute?

Fighting aside, she's also insanely easy to keep alive since you can survive exclusively on cooked monster meat for the rest of eternity with this character.

wigfrid helmets, hambat, some pierogi, walking cane, magiluminescene, pan flute and ice staff (only 1 magma pool had walls. I did not tank.)

oh ok so it's not like something you can do fresh out of day 5, maybe day 10..?

Nah, Wigfrid is better, she doesnt have facial hair. Obvious choice, really.

Wolfgang are two characters in one with an increase in speed. Of course it's better in most cases, situations where I see Wigfrid shine best are unlikely.

I've beaten Dragonfly on day 4 before. It's definitely doable without healing if you don't get hit too often. That said, Wolfgang is far better.

Wolfgang is better in combat, yes. Wigfrid is the most comfy character in my opinion, due to her sanity and health gain during fights + no need to keep eating everyone's food. It's a very relaxed and fun gameplay if you don't have a problem finding meat, especially in multiplayer where you can also be the group's "blacksmith".

But IN THE FIGHT, unless you don't know how to kite, Wolfgang is better, yeah.

Basically what he said here . Although I might add , its really more only the boss fight he is better or more advantageous. Wigfrid is a badasz though

Wigfrids definitely nice for team survivability. As what's been said here tho, if you have any Pve experience and are at least able to kite 80% of the time and have extensive knowledge of the crockpot/food gathering, then Wolfgang should be considered. Even then, Wigfrids just comfy in general/has a more lax playstyle so dont count her out completely 

Plus who doesn't love having thier speakers blown out every time this bombastic lass so much as whispers.

She is relatively balanced, she only has a FEW  problems

1: She can't eat butterflies >:(

Wigfrid is a strong character but I’d argue not only is she balanced, she is the most similar to the new design style.

She can’t eat veggies which prevents use of mushrooms, dragonpie, and cooked cactus to restore stats but gains stats on hit which compensates.

She has useful items to distribute to the team but is good enough individually to not be a “swap character.”

If I was prioritizing reworks she would probably be last.  Popular, effective, meaningful downsides and friendly to new players.

If you kill a butterfly, the butterfly's body get shredded, so only the wings are left. You can eat this wings. But they are no meat, so Wigfrid won't eat.

Wig is an amazing character for diving into mid-difficulty situations with no preparation. I'd say she's the easiest Nomad.
Previously I'd have also considered her the most powerful Nomad, but that position got taken by Wortox; new Woodie competes but I'd say his traits are more Generalist than Nomad.

Her damage reduction buff works for all damage sources, so she only gets 2.25 damage for 1 cooked meat so yes, with her battle regeneration she can just kill and cook spiders for ages

Would be nice to remove her damage buff in exchange for the forge battle cry mechanic. She can buff herself and all teammates damage after 5 attacks. This should made her less stron as solo, but much stronger in group. Also this makes combat more interesting

A new buff that was added to her is that she can now eat taffy, making sanity regen even easier.
