Is Warly the father of Webber?

Recommended Posts

I know, I know!  It sounds very silly, but I have one theory!  It is very stupid, but reasonable! See, according to some Webber quotes it can be understood that his father had a beard, an alchemical engine, as well as goats.  Also, Webber's dad taught them how to grow.  And who else had domestic goats and a beard !?  Warly when reacting to a volt goat, says that he once had goats!  This is an incredible coincidence. Yes, I think it's just a coincidence.ezgif-4-035bfb4dd4b4.thumb.gif.bdd5e3818c205d0fddf2910f8ba7a828.gif

But stop!  Seeing Steel Wool Webber says that it looks like his father's beard.  If someone does not know how this miracle looks, then it looks like this:5cf6d63dbec8e_Steel_Wool(1).png.d899bcf3a2b06f54dc0a7f162f38a9b4.png

Warly examining goats: "I had a goat_ once."
Webber examining goats: "My father kept goats."

Webber has quotes about his father but Warly does not have a single quote about his son or any hint that he had a son once.

The only hint might be:
Warly examining a hungry Smallish Tallbird: "Teenagers, always hungry!"

Webber also has many quotes about his grandpa, but Warly doesn't have any quote about his father.

Spoiler

Fishing RodFishing Rod- "I miss grandpa's fishing trips."
Rabbit Hutch BuildRabbit Hutch- "Just like grandpa said, 'You live in what you eat.'"
Floral ShirtFloral Shirt- "Grandpa's style, definitely."
KittykitKittykit- "You look like grandpa's cat!"
Statue Formal MarbleStatue Formal StoneKingly Figure- "Reminds me of grandpa."
The Gorge Old BeefaloOld Beefalo- "Take it easy, grandpa."
Clockwork BishopClockwork Bishop- "You don't play by the chess rules that grandpa taught."
Tam o' ShanterTam o' Shanter- "Reminds me of grandpa."
CatcoonCatcoon- "A bit more feral than grandpa's cat."

Also Warly is more french styled while Webber doesn't have french quotes.

I like a lot of this...I mean, after all, we never see Webber's human face...BUT:

--Some of Webber's quotes and terminology he uses has always led me to believe he might be British.

--Warly is not only French, but I think Creole, which would place him as being from the U.S.

HOWEVER, it's not entirely impossible that a dude born and raised in Louisiana could then MOVE to the U.K. (probably somewhere up north in the countryside), marry a presumably (?) British woman and later have Webber...

...but I KNOW Webber got eaten by the spider as a _kid_, not a teenager, so...

The idea's got traction, but it's also got flaws, is all I'm saying.  Not a BAD idea though.  Not at all.

...Notorious

If Webber was any of the other player characters' child, Warly would be one of the more likely choices given the goat connection. (Almost every male character has a beard so that alone doesn't say much, but the texture of his does look like Steel Wool.) I don't think it's very probable because Warly never mentions a son or a wife even though family is important to him and Webber doesn't seem to have been taught a lot about cooking or speak any French, but it's not impossible.

If that was the case I assume the Scottish grandpa is on Webber's mother's side, because Warly doesn't appear to have any connection to Scotland himself and his dad isn't wearing any Scottish stuff in the family photos.

I think that Warly could be half the scientist.  Confirmation of this (according to my theory) quotes Webber: "Father used to work on something like that" (Alchemy Engine).  Also, this can be assumed on the short films Winona.  The silhouette in the portal is not like Wagstaff, but similar to Warly.  I can say with confidence that this is not Wagstaff, since in the roadmap post, his description read: "The mysterious inventor, who turns out to be exactly where he wanted to be."  Although the character in the short film didn't want to get in to Constant. Screenshot_2019-07-26-14-26-30-016_com.google.android.youtube.thumb.png.1a88cf6aed10cf5e816ecb5e0ad3df7e.png

Especially in the short film Warly we weren't shown how he disappeared.

Not everyone can keep their hairstyle 100% perfect if they're sucked into a portal which deforms their legs & arms. There's still a chance that this person is Wagstaff and it's his 3rd attempt to explore the constant, but this time it failed dramatically and he just got trapped by Charlie, because she knows that he wants to destroy it and free everyone.

In Warly's short, his household consists of just him and his mom. Who would be Webber's mom / Warly's partner? There is no hints towards any kind of relationship that Warly has had.

Also, Webber's quotes suggest that his family is either Scottish and/or british, and Warly (and his family) is definitely not either one of those.

Edit: There is a possibility that Warly doesn't live with his mom and instead visits to take care of her, but regardless.
