Yesterday i noticed a new dupe animation when turning on signal switches.

Spoiler

No big deal. But i don`t think the signal switch is something worthy it`s own animation. This made me think that maybe the animation might be used to configure automation sensors. This would mean changing temp thresholds etc would need dupe operation. This would be a pretty large nerf to how automation is handled. No insta switch means you have to rely on a dupe to press the button in time.

What do you think? Am i overreacting? Btw the animation looks nice.

I think the right thing is the need for the dupe do something, but maybe the automation need a terminal to do this thing(for close automation)

100% overreacting

Yes, the next patches wil fix a lot of bugs/glitchs but change the automation as you say, it will be just stupig given the automation system is an automate system by essence.

Agreed. What is the point of automating anything if it requires dupe interaction.

What is the point of having dupes at all, if you can automate everything?

Lets make an automated self aware base and then compost all the dupes. :D
