Quick question.... Do spider attack a shadow Chester?j

Recommended Posts

Don't worry when someone doesn't answer a question IMMEDIATELY after posting it.

I don't see a reason why spiders shouldn't attack shadow chester, since he only changes appearance and get's a bigger inventory, so I'd assume he'll still get attacked by spiders. Never tested it though, since I usually use default chester as emergency packmule and occasional damage sponge. (The latter would be a big Nightmare fuel waste.)

Hmmmm....

Shadow chester, and ice chester too for that matter, is still good ol' Otto. Same stats, same behaviour, same flavour. Spiders don't know the difference, nor do they care. So yes, spiders DO attack shadow chester.

You can confirm this?

Pretty sure since he's still CHESTER, he's still going to get mauled by the spiders.

So you still wanna protect him, don't just leave him by a nest and watch him get mauled to death.

Exactly.

@JustinMark309 is obsessed with Webber and anything related to him.

BTW. How can he still post,if he's banned?

Why exactly was he banned? I mean, he was fairly ridiculous, but so are a few of the rest of us.

There were at least 2 post of his in which advocated, in that really weird speech patter he had, blatant griefing (burning bunnymen huts, stealing spider-related loot others would farm more efficiently) when people pointed flaws he had. Also, if I remember well, he replied with some foul language in a thread people were rightfully criticizing his posts; and probably more. All in all a wonderful lad... am sure would be a pleasure to play on same server - not to be missed.

i uh, dont think its in good tastes to talk about someone being banned.

‘I’m genuinely curious, since I don’t understand how the standards are applied, and other players seem to do similar things without getting banned. That’s all.

Would be interesting to know the conditions for which someone may get a ban (temporary and permanent if is the case).

Moderating is hardly a paint by numbers ordeal, it’s a bit like your computers AV software, it doesn’t know for sure what is and isn’t malware but certain patterns make increase or decrease the odds of that program getting quarantined.  When using forums, a little self awareness can go a long way to help you realize what is and isn’t a bridge too far.

He was banned due to spam, griefring, insulting, wierd speech pattern, using horrible lenguage, and his obsession with webber, and everything related to him.

The post says it all. Thank You for reading and have a wonderfull day.

It is,if somebody did something bad.

I'm curious as to why he got this type of ban though. Normally other users (Sudura/UnionGaming for example) get all their posts deleted in the process of their banning. Is this new?

It's possible the forums update we got a while back just handles banned accounts differently.

One of Sud's alts got banned fairly recently though, which is why I'm curious if there's different severities of being banned or something like that.

A public thread is definitely not the right place to discuss someone's ban, so I'll be locking this (besides the plain derailment).

Joe added this quite recently. Normally we just used another method that hid all their posts and banned them, because normal banning didn't hide anything, but now it spoilers their posts and adds big red threatening letters to show the person really is banned.
