ShadowDuelist
- Heat up during winter burning reed plants and lightbulb plants with your torch. - Make as many farms and beeboxes in the ruins as possible. - Hide in the bush hat and let the shadow duelists handle all mobs. Kitty Cat Meow
Tired of farming so slowly? Teleport yourself with a few telelocator staffs to make it rain! Need your sanity back after that? No problem: Just cook some taffy using only honeycomb! Low on health from consuming all of that taffy? Heal up with Dragonfruit Seeds! Hm, idk, 2 twigs, 2 ropes and a charcoal for an insta-jerky sounds like a fair price. I gotta check it out.

Yeah, that's why one rack costs only 2 twigs, 2 ropes and a charcoal. In long-term.
myxal
Here's an idea: Do you always roll back to avoid dying in the game? You may have trouble getting bone shards that way. Fear not, though! Find no-eyed deer Return after several days, they should have antlers. Hit a deer and chase the herd into a tree to make them drop antlers. Wait for winter, then find the Loot Stash. Move the antlers to the loot stash Use antlers on the loot stash - bam! Easy bone shards!

Daxterr
Never use wood to fuel a fire. Grass tufts work better. Always keep the fire lit, even at day time. It makes your base feel more cozy. =^)

Actually, with DST's regrowth, this is fairly reasonable later into the game, especially if you have lot of unused dug plants from a "construction" project. Single-player on the other hand... The "never use wood" part is totally valid, since there are resources that are: easier/quicker/cheaper to farm stack higher and/or provide more burn-time

One exception: In Adventure Mode in single-player it's a great idea to burn tufts, saplings, spiky bushes, etc.
