This seed also has a polluted O2 vent. I'd say this seed is by far the best I've seen yet, as the main limiting factor to growth is water sources. PH20 is almost more useful than clean water because of all the useful byproducts of fertilizer synthesizers, and for peppernuts. The one I put earlier is pretty good: 7447 5 cool steam geysers, 3 ngas geysers 1 ph20 geyser 1 chlorine 2 oil wells. No volcano sadly. I can't figure out how a starting biome could be made bigger, but here's a modified default preset with a layer of void in the upper part of the map instead of neutronium. These tips will allow you to cycle through seeds in MINUTES to find a favorable geyser group. Enable debug for speed of searching. You can find lots of guides on enabling it, it isn't hard. Use the paint tool to paint "Void" to sections. This will destroy everything except volcanos, ruins, creatures, and dupes. Analyze any vents or geysers you feel are interesting. Using other elements in the paint tool can cause crashing or freezes, but "Void" seems to be much faster at mass removal. Don't paint over the starting biome with void, it'll freeze the game, and unless you have a beastly computer like mine, avoid taking out more than 1-2 biomes of the map in one paint selection. Not exactly stream engine material, but hey its there. Straight Down from where you start in a P.Water geyser, which for me was active 4/5ths of the time and could run 3-4 Fertilizer synthesizers and still have enought to store for the dormant period (especially when I started funneling the waste water from bathrooms through the same pipping. To the left of the P.Water geyser, on the other side of the Cold biome, is the Natural Gas Geyser. Unfortunately, its only active about 1/3 of the time, so your Nat Gas Generators will absolutely rely on the output from making Fertilizer and Petroleum. What really has me sharing this, though, is what is to the right of that P. Water Geyser; a Cold Biome with not one, but *two* Thermo Nulifiers, right above the Oil biome (in fact, one of the will start flooded by Oil because seed didn't have enough rock around one of the pressurized oil pockets) and just to the right of it is a larger Cold Biome with yet another Nulifier, and one of the Oil Reservoirs almost directly below it. I've had zero heat issues with this base, as all my major heat producers are sitting in those biomes next to the Nulifiers, and all next to the places I'd need that heat deletion the most. Soulwind Posted April 22, 2018 Share Posted April 22, 2018 Here's an interesting seed that I'm currently running: 791293615 Haven't explored everywhere yet, but so far: 2 x NGG within 10 tiles of each other and just above the starter biome (one open, one buried). 153 g/s, 400/465 s, 73.6/169.8 cycles both geysers are actually identical and synched. Another open NGG relatively nearby the other 2, but it's got a pretty low output. Enough to run a generator though. An Iron volcano one short biome separator from the NGGs, a Leaky Oil Fissure near the volcano (haven't uncapped them yet), and a Copper volcano off in the distance (ditto). Water is a bit of a problem, as the Steam geysers are a fair distance away and aren't especially great. I haven't found anything else yet, but I can see a few more buried sets of neutronium that are within reach. Only a single Shinebug, so take care not to lose it (though there is one with a vending machine in the ice biome up and to the left). Seems to be about 12 Hatches? Maybe more? Between the 2 NatGas Geysers, you should be able to run 2 NatGas Gens continuously without any FertSynths. The Caustic exposed Steam is plenty for running your first Electrolyzer at 100% uptime, but not a lot of leftover after that. The bricked over one on the lower left has a rather depressing output, but it's enough for 24 flushes of the Lavatory per cycle, so maybe just use it as a source for your central Latrine? 4 sources of oil all immediately next to each other is amazing, and an AETN immediately nearby, makes for a really nice industrial complex.
