[Game Update] - 186449

Changes

  • Movement prediction can now be toggled in the options screen.
  • Improved controller targeting priority for items dropped under the spawn portal, as well as for ghosts trying to target the portal for resurrection in Endless mode.
  • Improved controller targeting priority for opening gifts at Science Machines placed near walls.
  • Haunted Spider Dens will no longer target Players or other Spider Dens.

 

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed bug where tied votes may still pass.
  • Fixed bug where haunting Twiggy Trees may trigger Treeguards to spawn.
  • Fixed bug where Birchnut Tree Trunks did not spread fire while burning.
  • Fixed bug where burnt Meat Effigies could still catch on fire.
  • Clicking outside the Pause Menu will now close the window properly.
  • Mod user commands with aliases should now load correctly.

These two are the best, to be sure.

Webbers may rejoice and generally anyone can experience the glory that is disabling movement prediction.

I think it's a good change, it gives Webber more use so now nobody can make the argument that Webber is useless since Ghosts can haunt the spider den to target dens and or tentacles.

Just noticed the bug in the code. Maybe it has never happened to anyone? It's only a 0.1% chance XD

I don't think ghosts should be there to begin with. You died, why should you have any more impact on the game ?

Sigh. Not only do Ghosts give a cosmetic feature, it helps insinuate the fact you can still come back to life. Ghosts are pains in the Potatocup. That's why you revive them as quickly as you can.

Can we make spawning tree guards by haunting bumped up to 1%? huehuehue (it'd be easier to get more living logs that way...)

Is movement prediction enabled or disabled by default though? I guess we can just tell newbies to go into Options menu and disable prediction if it's enabled by default, though having it disabled by default is better since it's mostly better to not have it enabled.

I'd imagine it's enabled by default. Your character skipping and spazzing around as you move is not a good first impression for new players.

It took more than a year, but it's finally here... I'm in tears. Thought I would never see this day. I literally gave up on the idea that Klei would make a proper way to disable Movement Prediction... Thank you...

Perhaps you should ask the ghosts in the graves about that, and if you aren't satisfied still, use Wilderness mode.
