The base game is supposed to be where Charlie hasn't become the one on the throne yet... though, if we think about it, a few moments later after being trapped in the throne, Wilson was released by Charlie... I'm saying this because Wilson hasn't been warped by Nightmare Fuel/Nightmare Throne yet and appears to still be struggling as he was just now captured... now, that being said, Maxwell's quote would make sense as he is -- or just a few moments ago -- "well-acquainted" with the darkness... but that would mean events after His release, would be events in DST already... so playing as Maxwell for like, 9999 days... in-game... without seeing anyone else like Wilson... ... meh... that would mean that they will be (should be) PORTING DST EVENTS AND ITEMS INTO DS?
