New Maxwell perks? (Base game)

"On a first-name basis with the night"

It's either "Charlie" (darkness) or his past occupation (i.e. the puppet master)... but why would it change here?

The base game is supposed to be where Charlie hasn't become the one on the throne yet... though, if we think about it, a few moments later after being trapped in the throne, Wilson was released by Charlie... I'm saying this because Wilson hasn't been warped by Nightmare Fuel/Nightmare Throne yet and appears to still be struggling as he was just now captured... now, that being said, Maxwell's quote would make sense as he is -- or just a few moments ago -- "well-acquainted" with the darkness... but that would mean events after His release, would be events in DST already... so playing as Maxwell for like, 9999 days... in-game... without seeing anyone else like Wilson...

... meh... that would mean that they will be (should be) PORTING DST EVENTS AND ITEMS INTO DS? O__O

"on the first-name basis with the night", what does it mean? i dont understand the phase

knowing someone well enough that you call each other by your first name

"I've met her, but I'm not on a first-name basis with her"

I hate how they changed the "Can fragment his own mind!" perk name it sounded way cooler than "Can split his mind into pieces"

Edit: OMG I JUST REALIZED "Is on a first name basic with the darkness" WHENEVER YOU DIE FROM DARKNESS IT JUST SAYS YOU DIED FROM THE DARKNESS/DARK *ahem* and what happens when you die from the dark as Maxwell? It says in the morgue you died from Charlie. :p

Uh, so what was the point of this change? Seems like they just removed descriptive information about his character and replaced it with something most people already know. Why would they not mention he starts with a dark sword and stuff?

I have no clue, but perhaps it's something like "He's used to the night so he wraps himself in it and uses it to his advantage" kind of deal too? It's very misleading in any case
