Karmattack Posted June 16, 2016 Share Posted June 16, 2016 Wilson probably won't ever actually be a part of Smash Bros, but it'd be fun to think about how things might work if he were. Here's what my idea for it would be: Alternate Costumes: Wilson's current three skin sets, Maxwell, Maxwell's current three skin sets. Stage: Nightmare Throne Room Victory Tune: A few seconds of "Ragtime". Standard Attacks: Basic punches. Smash Attacks: Lunges with a Spear. Neutral Special: Prototype. Creates at random one of the following items. Each has five uses before it breaks. The items function like a picked-up weapon but can't be put down. Once used it won't work again until the current item breaks. Axe: Has an increased chance to make the enemy trip. (Looks like Lucy if the player is using the Woodie skin.) Pick: Does extra damage to shields. Torch: Does fire damage. (Looks like Willow's Lighter if the player is using the Willow skin.) Walking Cane: Increases movement speed. Dark Sword: Has a low chance to appear. Does shadow damage. Up Special: Based on the "A Little Rain Must Fall" update poster, you open an Umbrella and get pulled upwards. Eventually the umbrella is pulled from your hands and you fall in a vulnerable state. Side Special: Shoots a dart from a basic Blow Pipe. Down Special: Plays a panflute which causes nearby enemies to sleep for a few moments. Final Smash: Ring the Old Bell and cause Bigfoot to hit the stage a couple of times. Those who are hit are damaged and buried. Up Taunt: Puts on a hat (cycles between Garland and Top Hat), does the /pose emote, then puts the hat away. Side Taunt: Does the /dance emote. If you can add Fire Emblem characters and maybe Shovel Knight, then we can add our Gentlemen Scientist to the mix! But I've always come to the conclusion that lore-wise that would be impossible, with Wilson never escaping and all that. Still, I've considered voting for him in the character poll. In some cut scenes and death all the toys are just figurines, was it SBM that literally shows masterhand taking toys out of a toybox in a kids room, building a stage out of stuff on his desk, and the toys 'come alive'. Wilson wouldn't need to leave the actual cannon island, all that needs to happen is Don't starve be a game that exists in SSB metaworld, and since we have merchandise in this world it doesn't seem like such a stretch. That or you and me need to stop taking games so seriously... Alas, all the smash dlc that they were planning is out already, and I doubt they will do another ballot. Plot twist: Master Hand is actually Maxwell when he has his tuxedo on and decided to capture a bunch of Nintendo characters for some reason!
