Developer ImDaMisterL Posted May 4, 2016 Developer Share Posted May 4, 2016 Now that Charlie is on the throne, I wonder if she'll ever bring more survivors into the DS world. What of Walani, Warly, Wilbur and Woodlegs? Did Charlie just... let them go or were they simply "not-canon"? I can't say much of these ones, as I assume they probably will be added to DST if an SW port ever is made. But what of Wilton, Winnie (Wigfrid is... technically Winnie, but still), Wortox, Wallace and Waverly? Wilton had practically everything done character-wise, but was never released. Will these characters ever see the light of day or would Charlie rather play with brand-new survivors, other than previous options Maxwell once considered taking? DwerBomb
I like to think SW isn't canon. It would be hard to explain in-lore and wouldn't really be worth to be put in the storyline (story wise, it feels so empty :b) Out of all the unimplemented I think Wortox is the one who deserves more attention, even over the SW cast. He could be related to the Krampus and the Ruins society, a still unexplored realm lore-wise Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/67002-but-what-of-the-unimplemented-characters/#findComment-766360 Share on other sites
Mudley
I would really like to have characters that have perks related to the multiplayer aspect of the game. And Wallace, there is nothing to not love about this guy. 1v0
Story wise I really don't know ... Charlie doesn't look like one to involve more people into this madness (can't say the same about her evil side) . But they could be like RoG characters ... kinda they were away's there story wise just not in game (so Maxwell got them here) But yea I really hope for new characters . After all there are new ones for every DLC so why not for this one too . Totally agree with Mudley some multiplayer perks would be really nice . Aquaterion
I'd like to see Waverly, as a witch that knows brewery and/or alchemy. as the above said, her utility would be useful to her friends as well, as usually brewing/alchemy lets you modify/make something, which you can share with others. MoloMan
Waverly or Wallace would be rally nice characters to add. Waverly would have perks similar to Wickerbottom but insead of books she could have potions which could buff the player in various ways. Wallace is just badass. He could possibly have something that would relate to the winter and Mactusk, I mean they have to be related somehow, right? Wortox is kinda meh. He doesn't look like a DS character to me. Has too much colour. I love the fact that most characters have black hair and a white face, looks so cool. He would also be really weird to explain in my opinion. Most other characters are just normal people, but he's a demon or something? what? why? Oh and Wilton is a skeleton dude. You have to do a ton of work to get him into the game. A skele-ton... sans joke anybody? Warly 2.0 coming to a together near you, and actually cooks useful stuff! 4 hours ago, Mudley said: I would really like to have characters that have perks related to the multiplayer aspect of the game. Yeah it would be nice if they added characters that involved a lot more teamwork. VexTheHex
Walani and Woodlegs are pretty much on the lifeline of Shipwrecked Together, which I personally don't feel is that needed for awhile. I'd rather have new content. Warly and Wilbur could be added to DST, and I kind of want to see Warly. Both would need rebalanced, Warly probably would need to be the one able to use his crock pot, or else you'd buff everyone including Wigfrid. Out of the unimplemented, I kind of like Wilton cause a skeleton could have some cool perks and cons, I'd prefer a gender swapped Winnie, as we have no blond males and it shakes up the trope more. Wallace looks alright, but I probably wouldn't use him honestly. Wortox looks kind of cool, but he clashes with the cast some. Lastly, Waverly's toes were stepped on by Wickerbottom. So, I have trouble seeing her make it in. If they added new characters, that weren't either the Shipwrecked or Unimplemented crew, it'd probably be the best direction. I'd like to see a blond male since Woodie is the only not black haired guy. I'd say red or blond, but the game seems to refer to Woodie as having red hair. I would love to see how Klei would be able to fit Shipwrecked in all this.
