Grell was being drawn by the power of the blood red crystal and this made his senses sharpen, reflexes heightened... the bones themselves should pose no threat yet the magics that work in it may have imbued them with more powerful enchantments... he bides his time getting ready to attack as soon as the bombardment was done... though he could attempt to smash those bones away easily, he waited for the others to finish their attack as to not get hit in the cross fire...

"Oh, yeah, great.  Let everyone but the ice guy do ice-related things.  Thanks."

Battal sends a blast of ice at the golem's right leg, hoping to freeze it in place.  He charges in and starts hacking away at it with his axe.  "Because I haven't been useless enough in this little venture!"

Most of the attacks targeted at the chest never reached it. As they fly towards the chest and the place of the crystal a magic barrier forms absorbing all attacks. Only Renns arrow was able to pierce it yet breaking through took enought force from it that it harmlessly got stuck in the chestarmor of the Golem.

Only Battals attack showed a small bit of succes. Freezing the golems leg and hacking away at it caused it to stumble a bit. But as quickly as he's able to damage the bones the foul magic regenerates them to keep the golem going.

The golem finally makes a move. Behind the jaw of his skull you see black flames lingering. Quickly you try to escape the blast of dark fire from the beast. The dark flames still lick around his skull as he finishes his attack. It appears most where able to dodge the blast but this was a close call and the golem might not miss his target next time.

(seriously I might made it obvious where the weakspot is but that doesn't mean I offer the victory on a silver platter)

Reaching the ledge, the tinker surveys his allies and their foe. Then he takes foothold and loosens the chainclaw. Perhaps a well-aimed shot could fracture the bone, allowing a forceful stroke to break it completely. Pih-Dit locks and loads, then aims for the core of the beast. "Hopefully this heart won't blow up." Gunshot.

Ooooh sick backstory lore hints!

"CRAP!" Mlies exclaimed as most of the attacks missed their mark. The only ones to go through were Renn's arrow, which didn't do much, and Battal's attacks, though they were quickly negated by the magic. So much for her plan; it looked like they would have to weaken the monstrosity first.

"FOCUS YOUR ATTACKS ON THE RIGHT LEG! WE MIGHT BE ABLE TO CHOP IT OFF BEFORE IT REPAIRS!" She yelled loud enough for the group to hear. Unfortunately, she had used up her Juggernaut dodging the ebony flames the beast spewed out and would have to wait before using it again lest it overheat and something burst. Thus she charged at her normal running speed and prepared her first swing of the fight.

(Don't worry Battal, you would have helped in the second part of the plan if the first part had worked.)

Perhaps it was better to wait for Jordan to await the team to strike for him, therefore he did not look like the weaker minded, but now was the time to strike...or perhaps it was not, seeing as to how the only weak spot was a unreachable crystal in the chest what would aging it do? Therefore he'd have to let it up to the others.

Jordan boosts Grell's speed.

As the doors opened before them, Rhi at first was amused by the mechanism or the magick that possessed such an enormous gateway. Standing all shoulder to shoulder, they watched as their path was revealed, a path most perilous.
The Kobold held his lute tight with both hands and walked in with the rest. They disposed of the weak skeleton fighters but something was still amiss. Too many bones in one single place, the crackling sound of kicked bones tumbling against the stone floors was everywhere now that living beings were stepping amongst them. The kobold tried not to step on them but it was impossible to do so.

When the colossal undead emerged from the ground, Rhi could see that it reeked with the darkest necromancy. Its source was, of course, the crystal, as many pointed and attempted to destroy on the first try. Rhi felt like his throat was stuck for a moment, unable to sing a song at first. He was immediately interrupted by the flames that the bone golem spew at them. The flames almost consumed him, but he was able to step away from it successfully. He screamed at the sight of his burning lute, though, since it was made of wood. Quickly, he put the fires out but some of its surface remained charred at the bottom of the instrument.

To focus the attacks on one leg was a sound plan, but Rhi didn’t have much to offer except for weak scythe scratches.  He couldn’t force the towering creature to dance with his special technique because it did not affect undead beings. Suddenly, muse filled his train of thought, and his eyes glistened with decision. Joining his allies, and attempting to lift their spirits in this dangerous moment, Rhi started to recite a ballad with blind courage.

Spoiler

Dancing god went crazy
Chaos swept with dread
Heroes search for glory
Trek across the dead

On the dark, dangerous room,
Ominous black golem they see
Hellish heat rains down
They venture on tirelessly

Throw your dice and gamble
Glory you might win
But one wrong bet
And you'll never roll again

Earth cracks open
Roaring beast rears its head
With one fell swoop
A hero may lay dead

Whistling arrows
Conjured spell
Gelid ice, explosive shells!
Putrid poison, stainless steel!
Now our wrath the beast shall feel!

Hack and slash and slice and dice and chop and smash and tear and crash!
Hammer or axe, be it dagger or scythe,
Armor heavy or light, robes or something alike!
Heck, there’s a wand and gun!
And our hearts beat as one!
I care not of the weapons
When the massive foe beckons!
Set aside all your fear and come over here!

Draw a card and gamble
Glory you might win
Pray you don't find the one
Or you'll never play again

Like lightning luck struck quickly
An opening did show
This was heroes' chance
To land thund'rous blow!

[Party gains Inspire Courage buff: +resist fear and +slightly increased efficiency of combat abilities]

The ferocious attacks against the Golems leg show succes. The fearsome creature slowly but surely starts to fall towards the ground as the Magic isn't able to repair the damage done to it in time.

As it falls however it still tries to swipe at the people sorrounding it's right leg.

The Golem might now be fallen but that doesn't mean that he's harmless. Still able to use his flamebreath and the massive fists he starts crawling towards you.

(*is about to complain about the lack of posts again*

*hasn't made a post yet either*

Oops)

The Steamknight was too focused on her attacks to notice the golem's swipe until it was too late to dodge. She would have been thrown much farther if it weren't for the enormous weight of metal that encased her, but the monster's strength was still impressive, knocking her away a few feet. Almost embarrassingly, Miles's head slammed into the back of her helmet rather hard as she hit the ground. She lie there with her senses temporarily knocked out of her and Tony a few feet away.

(What? I can't have Miles be an unstoppable juggernaut of awesome all the time.)

Jordan increased Grell's speed and the monstrosity was grounded... the speed boost will help in clearing out the pile of bones from the gem... avoiding any swipes and breaths of fire from the monster, Grell hacks away at the bones to expose the inner flesh... his life-steal ability is empowering his movements and rejuvenating his spirits... every hit gives him a shot of euphoria... though after a while, his euphoria is mingled with quick pangs of sharp pain... he slows down, feeling something to happen to him... as if he was going berserk if he did not stop...

The bones clear away, yet slowly they regenerate...

(Ugh sorry for the delay I was unsure if I do something even with only a bit of stuff or nit but I think I got an idea now)

Grells vicious attacks easily hack through the bones protecting the crystal.

After a few seconds he reached his goal. A quick strike against the crystal is all he's able to do as the magic throws him off the golem as he struk it.

In the meantime the leg of the golem repaired and he slowly stands back up. However you notice that the light in his eyes flicker meaning that Grells attack had some sort of succes.

The foul magic might now be weak enought to allow ranged attacks on the golem.

(BTW if there is stuff happening in RL for you guys I understand that and if you guys want I can put this a bit on ice for the moment till everything is sorted out.)

Pih-Dit attempts to use the chainclaw to keep the crystal exposed. Leaning against the wall should prevent him from falling off with the recoil, but forcefully prying bones out seems too difficult to him without something to properly stand against.

(cause only the leg has healed back right boys? yeah!)

Miles blinked the spots out of her eyes. Her senses were returning to her, the deaf ringing in her ears slowly fading out. The sounds of battle. Magic skeleton monster. Oh right. She briefly couldn't recal what was going on, but it's come back to her now.

Miles clenched her fist around her hammer's handle, only it wasn't there. Right. It must have slipped out. She sat up quickly, too quickly, and the world spun. Her head throbbed. This was silly; she just got head on the hit a little, er, hit on the head. That's what she meant.

Getting up more slowly this time, she stood and staggered over a few steps to Tony and used him to prop herself up. In this state of dizziness she'd be just as much of a danger to her allies as to the enemy. She'd have to take a minute to get her bearings, unfortunately.

~Miles will spend this turn recovering~
