Hey, just created this thread if anyone wants to talk and chill. Just a relaxed thread if anyone wants to share something they found or something funny just post it. So ya, lets chat.

depends, either I never die, or I die on day 6 to a Koalaphant because I was too ballsy to wear any armour.

 I have something like 350 days as Wendy, it's my best score (previous one was 45 :P). I killed two beefalo and... It was whole population, there are no beefalos. Thanks Maxwell I obtained horn. It's on RoG world, I haven't played it for months. I bought Shipwrecked, but I'm already bored and don't play DS now ;-;
 I really like DST, but I just can't have fun. To me it's all about facetanking and running away if boss attacks. 1 second delay deny any fighting skills. Movement prediction? I wasn't able to move without 3 seconds delay xD Is there any fix? One time I found dedicated server hosted in my country (Poland), but situation was even worse :/

I'm not kind of streams watcher (limited Internet + I'd rather playing by myself), but I like Glhrmzz, I watched all his "shorts" on YouTube, because they're funny and stuff.

Movement Prediction can be turned off via console.

Play a character you rarely play.

Beat adventure mode if you haven't.

if you have, try it with Wes.

Just play Wes.

Wes makes everything better.

Ya know, collecting stuff again and again... Once I spawned on island with no flint (SW) ;_;
Movement prediction enabled or disabled... In both situations it's bad. Once I died because of earthquake - lags. I can normally play Team Fortress 2, L4D2 and stuff like these, but DST is laggy, even on dedicated server. It's sad :C

I live in a really heavily forested mountainous area in Canada, so, I understand your pain ;-;

Pickings never bothered me personally, I've always liked the fact that you have to physically pick it up rather then just walking over it like in Terraria and Minecraft.

Dunno about you guys but currently whenever i play SW and i get to Hurricane season i get bored out of my mind and just want to stop playing. It's just a clusterf*** of stupid mechanics that aren't hard but just frustrating beyond believe.

- Can't explore much because wind and rain make keeping Campfires lighted a real pain and combined with the long nights you can easily burn through 2 Stacks of Logs what is just a waste of ressources.

- Lightning limits exploration even more because you risk burning valuable ressources like Bamboopatches or Vinebushes (don't get me Started on Snakedens)

- High waves are just frustrating to dodge 24/7 when you do decide to go out and explore.

Huuh i think at this rate i might just dissable Hurricane season because really i have next to no fun doing it and it's just on a whole different level compared to Winter in RoG because there i still can explore as much as i want just have to be a tad more carefull with staying warm but this has never been an issue for me.

Eh, Boat Lantern/ Lantern will fix that problem, although it isnt efficient to use that in Hurricane season.

 

Hurricane season does indeed suck, I've played Shipwrecked once and I got bored of hurricane season and deleted that file lmao

Boatlanterns are to expensive to keep making them for the night so the only real option is the Minerhelmet what still isn't viable enoughtbecause Fireflys are so damn rare. Seriously i at max saw 8 Fireflys in a single world noway near the amount you need to keep a Minerhelmet going.

Best bet is start in RoG and then collect a bunch of Fireflys and Snurtleslime to fuel the Lantern and the Minerhelmet otherwise exploration is really limited.

Also as i said before even without the Darkness you still have the Lightning what can easily wreck valauble ressources. During my last playthrough i lost like 3 patches of Bamboo and trust me i was furious about that because my Island doesn't have much Bamboo to beginn with and getting more to it requires a lot of fertilizer.

I didn't actually realize how much I love playing DS until my computer stopped working. Once I get it back later today, I have to reinstall EVERYTHING -_- Once I do that, I should try and bet adventure mode or even try and suvive longer than 60 days.

Oh and I hate hurricane season too. I always die.

I defeated the deerclops 4 times in 1 game 

The longest I've survived in Shipwrecked is 15 days 

And I always play walani
