I can't really see the Tragedy of the Commons becoming involved unless the lizards are only being taken from the wild. Unless, of course, it's just cheaper to get them from the wild. From the source, it sounds like they're threatened in the wild because they're easy for poachers to catch, and they only mate during certain times of year.
