Wave after Wave

Meritursas floats for a couple seconds, dazed, before looking at Malii.  He seems annoyed at her taking the helm. "let me."  He says, pushing her away with his head.

As the bird's mouth opened, they were engulfed in sunlight. "Sun ho!" Otto shouted, pointing at the watery horizon beyond. That cocanade I shot must have cause it to yell in pain, Otto thought, but... I don't hear any wailing. As he cupped his ear, he did heard someone wailing but it wasn't the bird. It was coming from below deck in the cargo hold. As long as we can get outside, everyone on this ship will be safe. Just then the bird dived, taking in more water in it's mouth. "God damn bird brain! Don't you have enough water and food in your mouth already?!" Otto folded his arms and said under his breath "fatass..."

The leviacan felt an entity in the known universe address it as "fatass". It was so triggered that it decided to stop landing and fly somewhere else to take gender studies.

The leviacan opened its webbed talons. They met shining, electric-blue waters. Waves of colorful fish scattered around it. As it settled, patiently swallowing the ecosystem in its mouth, it slowly prepared itself to start a new one. The seagulls flocked the openings of its mouth in desperate search of fish that would come flying out, like they always have. Water rushed out, tainting the tropical sea with clouds of dirt and rot. It bled underneath the pelican's body like ink and dispersed hundreds of feet below, but could still be seen clearly from a distance. They were extremely clear and deep waters. The leviacan paddled through ropes of seaweed, only, the clusters were colossal. They touched the surface of the water, and grew from the bright white sand all the way at the bottom of the sea. They had odd tints of vibrant colors. The fish took cover in them.

Crab looked at Otto like he just asked for the F@#$ing moon on a damn stick. He stared for a few seconds, and looked at his claw. One tally left, one more extra life. He could expend it to do something, but he wouldn't be able to come back. What if Kate killed him in another rage-induced tantrum? He shook his body "no". Maybe if he helped the otter creature, he'd protect him. Crab started clacking his claws rapidly, and his eyes glew white, and the car on his claw glew purple. He couldn't shrink the Leviacan, but he could do what he was about to do next. The water behind the boat started rolling in greater size. Then, one giant wave rose from behind the boat, and started carrying it faster towards the opening in the Leviacan's mouth.

Gyx clung on tight, as the boat increased speed. He saw Meritursas was still occupied with the other tursai. Possibly a territorial dispute, like a mexican stand-off or something. He needed to leave with them. He heard Famen call after him, but with all the noise, would it be enough? Suddenly, it hit Gyx. He'd help a tursai in the best, albeit only, way he knew how.

Gyx threw a harpoon at Meritursas.

Syndir must've passed out or something because he hadn't posted in ten days. He had in fact hit his head upon the boat's railing some time earlier. Once he opened his eyes he was showered in a blinding welcoming light.

He immediately knew what had happened. He must have died.

...

Well that sucks.

Famen got off the railing as that probably wasn't the best idea.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 From the depths of the murky water below, seven bright eyes lit up. The crew had barely any time to react before a massive tursai swam up and slammed into the boat's bottom, jostling everyone aboard. Unfortunately, Turner had been standing a little too close to the edge at the time, and the impact caused him to lose his balance and plummet into the water. He short-circuited almost immediately, creating a powerful pulse of electricity that shocked the unseen tursai and forced it to retreat with a yelp. Before anyone could react, though, Turner had already vanished far below the water's surface, sinking quickly due to his weight. Waterlogged beyond repair, he crashed through the deck of a sunken ship before slowing and finally settling at the very bottom, his body now just another piece of lifeless debris littering the depths.
(Thanks for writing that Waddle)
RIP Turner
"Was an ok butler i guess"
"But the way he kept us on an island without much to do for so long wasn't super great, especially since the plot with his owner didn't really go anywhere.  I mean, come on, you had a great setup for a mystery, but instead it was just about cats for some reason?  Did we ever really get an answer about where he went?  How did he get the technology to literally create life?  Did Maxwell give it to him?  If so, why didn't he get pulled into the islands sooner?  As we know, victims
The harpoon bounces off his side harmlessly since Meri didn't feel like dealing with Gyx's shenanigans.  The serpent quickly realizes what's going on, and pursues the ship as fast as he can.  As an afterthought, he wraps his tail tendrils around the larvae and drags it along behind him.
Wails and screams rose high over those of the crew. Splashing through the water's surface frantically now, dozens of other tursai could be seen swimming against the tides. The water began to suck back towards the throat, but with the applied forces, the boat was sent flying out of the side of the leviacan's mouth. The crew was met with the impact of hundreds of seabirds before plummeting towards the waters below. In a shower of feathers and tainted water, the ship was submerged for a few brief moments before bouncing back above the surface. It was extremely waterlogged. The curiously brilliant fish flopped and danced over the deck, as the seawater rushed off of the sides of it. Seagulls swarmed the boat for them.
The leviacan tilted its head back, and the distant screaming stopped abruptly. It turned around slowly, pushing the boat away as it searched for a good spot to feed again.
Spoiler
(probably not the right scale but that i drew this means it's cannon right)
Cinis saw the ship get out of the bird's beak, took his chances and got out of the leviacan in time dragging Dragon with him. They were now flying above the boat.
(sorry if this is a little character-controlly Mena, it's just that things happened a little too fast- if you want it changed then do tell)
Gyx raised his arms in cheer. They had escaped!
He broke out of his cheer, as he started swatting away Seagulls. Fuggin birds. These were all HIS fish.
(RIP Meri and Malii.
Dead by giant pelican and petty squabbling.
Also it's fine Ryan, I was expecting you to drag her out anyway. Cinis has had enough of your crap Dragon)
*senseless screeching and struggling intensifies.*
(So is there a bunch of water in the cargo hold now? I'm assuming there's a bunch of water in the cargo hold now. Correct me if I'm wrong plz I'm also making assumptions on how much water there is)
Kate gasped as cold water suddenly poured into the hull of the ship, accidentally inhaling some, but managed to hold on to her friends. She stood up panicked and, thankfully, the boat resurfaced before it got above her head. She coughed and sputtered as Kade helped her to one of the floating crates that she could grab onto and set her smaller companions down on.
(There is a bunch of water in the cargo hold now)
Famen and Angelle shook the water off themselves. The water in the cargo hold slowly started draining from the hole Gyx blew in his ship. "Is everyone here? Wait...where's Turner!?Famen asked, searching desperately around the ship for his robotic friend.
Cinis finally let go of Dragon. "What... did you think... you were doing back there?!" he growled as he pushed Dragon at her shoulders. He didn't look very pleased.
--
"bbwwaaaaaaahh!" Viridis yelled, surfacing from the layer of water that just got dumped in the cargo. Thankfully, she was tall enough to keep her head above the water. "That... is... c-cold...!" she added, shivering. She looked at Kate and the others. "O-oh! Are y-you... all okay?"
(Oop, didn't really mention what happened to the tursai)
Meritursas and Malii were sent plummeting into the ocean quite the distance from the ship. With the power of their impact, they got tangled with the aquatic foliage.
(Wait a second.  If water got in the cargo hold...doesn't this mean Noctimus is going to blow up?)
"Stop squirming and swim, or we - "
The bird's head starts to tilt back.  The sheer speed of the current catches them, dragging them back into the bird's mouth.  Their voices are added to the screaming as they rush towards the gaping throat of their captor.  Meri flails his tail and tendrils wildly, barely navigating the two Hunters into the current rushing towards the corner of the beak.  They make it over the side in a waterfall of flailing limbs and...well, water, eventually slamming into the open ocean.  The force of the tainted bird water rushing out of its mouth pushes them a distance away, until they slam into the seaweed and get hopelessly tangled.
Dragon just kind of stared blankly past Cinis at the quickly receding giant sea bird, then down at the claw that still clung on to a few paltry gold coins. Her frenzy had halted somewhat dramatically, and now she just seemed confused and kind of stunned. Not knowing how to reply, she whimpered slightly, and didn't look up at the other dragon.
~~~~~~~~

Kate coughed a few more times and nodded. Her eyes were watering from discomfort.

Otto held on the railing till the boat resurfaced. "Ah nothing like cold dump of clean sea water. How refreshing" he said. Then Otto saw all the fish flopping on the deck. "Heh, it's not every day the ocean delivers" Then Otto pounced on it.

(per request and in response to this post)

After facing opposite of the ship, the leviacan took a big, swift swig of water and paddled away further. With minimal effort, it was up in the air again. Its large wings carried it easily over the tan, steep mountains enclosing the reef in an almost-perfect circle. Among the wide, long strands of kelp and seaweed, through the bands of colorful fish, something else glimmered like gold
