I don't think a newbie is going to make it this far without getting better at the game.

Besides the biggest sabotage method still only takes a couple grass and twigs.

From my understanding, the new pillars are as easy to obtain as killing the nightmare Werepig, which isn’t even one of the harder bosses- you DONT have to Trigger Lunar or Shadow Rifts to craft these pillars- they can be rushed just as fast as you can rush a Shadow Manipulator. I can usually have a SM set up in my worlds by day 10 or less.

The new Pillars would be the same way right? You can rush to kill the pig and Craft them (in caves or on the surface) and they’ll drain sanity of players nearby like some sort of.. reverse Sisturn?

They may only take sanity when they need repairs, also we are speaking of an insane amount of dreadstone, we are not talking about 1-3 nightmare pig fights, it takes more than that, for one pillar.

So not only does it take multiple fights, but you also have to wait for nightmare pig to stop having a tantrum over losing and is ready to fight again.

They cost 44 dreadstone to construct.

The only way this is happening in the early game is if someone invests around 6 green gems into duping after killing the nightmare were pig and I honestly can't think of any sane person who does that to troll new players.

Just wanted to clarify one more thing. The Dreadstone Pillar only has a small aura when regenerating visible damage.  There is no aura while regenerating the extra 10 reinforced levels, during which there is no visible damage or repair action for players.

Currently the dreadstone pillar does not seem to regenerate at all, at least from my testing (unless c_speedup and c_skip cause issues). Also, does the pillar regenerate independently of the player, or does a player have to be nearby for it to regenerate?

I had hoped I'd made that clear in my first post but I think I missed the mark, I appreciate the extra clarification!

Any update on the console update time? I keep refreshing but no luck...

If the update’s not already out the devs might have to wait for console verification. I’m on Xbox and this has been the case for a few prior updates, but it doesn’t usually take more than a few days. Still excited either way!

Wormwood

  • Seed Sleuth is now activated by examining planted seeds, instead of an Identify Plant action.
  • Moon Shroom Cloud skill also enables Wormwood to plant Moon Shrooms in Mushroom Planters.
  • Wormwood’s Bulbous Lightbug health cost reduced from 15 to 10.

This is all very good news, I really hoped for some improvements to Skilled Self-Fertilizer to also make Wormwood skilled at general fertilizing and not only Compost Wraps, but I'm still happy with the changes we got.

Big thanks for looking at his skillset one more time.

The dreadstone pillar regen doesn't seem to work unless I am doing something wrong. I hammered the pillar down to 1 dreadstone, tried repairing a busted pillar using 1 dreadstone, none of it seemed to procc the regen, even standing right next to it and doing c_skip or c_speedup I did not see a single repair occur.

looks at the requirement to fight Nightmare Werepig and the requirement to build the pillar

lmao 44 dreadstone

surely I can get all that by day 10, right? Just to troll noobs with a structure that emits insanity aura only if it's damaged and I can't break without brightshade gear

amazing

The pillar's regen is unaffected by skips and does a regen every two days when it's been damaged enough for a regen.
