Highlights: Wilson Changes Wilson becomes more seasoned over time by getting "insight" that he can spend on learning new skills. Wilson can use "insight" to open new abilities in categories of "Beard" "Torch" and "Alchemy" The Insight persists between games. New NPC encounter A new creature can be found in the world. As always - a huge thank you to all the players that participated in the beta and sent in feedback and bug reports. Of course, this update will also bring a new animated short, as well as bug fixes and balance changes, and the streaming item "Nouveau Deconstructor" as well. See you soon! Yuuko Posted March 10, 2023 Share Posted March 10, 2023 I really like that Wilson gets a rouge like out-of-game progression system. I think it fits well to give players a vanilla character, but also make him unique and valuable to seasoned players and long term worlds. I'm especially looking forward to early game torch throwing giving a lot of flexibility to early game lighting / working. The brightness perk ALMOST reaches Lantern tier lighting, its definitely enough that I could easily forgo lanterns on Wilson and not bother with lightbulb spoilage. (imo willow should be jealous, I hope her lighter gets some upgrade path like this.) The transmutations are also cool as I know I always have some resources pile up, while others are more scarce and he gets to help you cook the books to balance things out. LOVE IT !!
