Celestial Champion who is "belong" to Wagstaff?

I see the Champion as a equivalent to the Fuelweaver. A ancient entity of the opposing force. Wagstaff just found a way to summon the creature to the surface with manipulating the different events around the moonstorm.

他们的确有背景故事。

我想最神秘的是克劳斯和安提昂克劳斯似乎是查理创造出来的,安提昂也是。但它们为什么被制造出来...?

My friend tell me,klaus isn't a boss which Charile created.I guess antlion is connected with moon.

So when Wagstaff tried to steal Alter little energy there, Alter threw a rock at us, which is the Celestial Champion, kinda like Alter's defense mechanism. Champ consumed the energy and used it to try and defeat the survivors but they killed her anyway and Wagstaff yoinked the energy because he is awfully sussy

As far as I'm aware, (most) bosses add in the A New Reign updates are implied to be made by Charlie, since she's in control of the Nightmare Throne now:

Crab King has his own story if you read all of Pearl's messages in the bottles she sends out.

Ancient Fuelweaver (and to an extent the Shadow Pieces) have their own backstory, which you can find out via examine quotes.

And people have already mentioned Celestial Champion.

Edit:

Oh yeah, Ancient Guardian is a being that's been changed by the nightmare fuel (as per Maxwell's quote) and the bosses that were base ds + Reign of Giants (Deerclops, Dfly, Bearger, Moose/Goose) were Maxwell's creation (I think, he did create a bunch of the mods that you see in-game, like the hounds).

Where was Bearger hiding in the first autumn?

He was on a different island then Maxwell paddled him over in a tiny rowboat that was cartoonishly tipping over due to bearger's weight.

Although now there's an explorable ocean and Maxwell isn't in charge so I'm not sure where he comes from now.

Most odd bosses that have themes are made entirely by some powerful entities like Maxwell (formerly), Charlie (now) or ancient beings like Alter (the moon) or other odd ways. There isn't much explanation on how and why but seems the DST a new Reign bosses are like an addition to entice the player to explore and walk into them into their inevitable deaths. Till survivors figure out on how to defeat them or never engage at unless they want rewards and better gear.

Other bosses that may be antlion, malbatross, ancient fuelweaver and ancient guardian may by the old world bosses that were around since their evolution or creation. We don't know how but we know they've existed for a while.

Our looooooore info isn't as big as it is on overall plot why survivors are there and whom put them there and the lore of ancients, shadows and moon. For all we know that there's likely monsters so big out there that we will never have to face them, or that they'll just swallow the Constant whole if that were ever the case (or that it already has.) Gnaw from Gorge is somewhere out there too and he's a sort of a ravenous sea god.

To be frank, Maxwell might be just flexing of making a few seasonal bosses as his biggest creations, Charlie may have had a hand put on making her own raid bosses made or empowered somehow to creation but overall - we have zero to none info.

Klei don't do the writing as much unless for main plot but also they just make monsters and other things just to be fun to face and to be interesting to be challenged. It really reflects well on their games that there's not much story to be told besides sets up a stage to an act like in a play. We play as the actors while they throw scenarios at us to fight against. Hense we got a valkirie performer Wigfrid that somehow is that powerful and can make rather good armor to have at any times, florid postern looking like a stage with curtains, there's the end table to set up the tables. Winona literally makes spotlights that performers use. Maxwell and Charlie were performers themselves before their dramatic downfall. Maxwell's door has 5 acts with different settings of survival and an epilogue. It's a 7 year old reoccurring theme already. xd

I guess it's fun to think and speculate of making up or trying to figure out the story behind everything, but perhaps that's what literally gives the story to each those creatures than what may Klei thought of what everything to each nook and cranny having symbolism or meaning? Klei does go by their moto on focusing to make fun games.

Thanks for reading my rambling anyway if you did. Poor soul.

Edit:

Maybe it is like in the movie Simbad: the Legend of the seven seas were the goddess Eris could just make giant monsters appear/materialize were she wanted to kill Simbad.

They do have backstories.

I guess the most enigmatic is Klaus and Antlion. Klaus seems to be a creation of Charlie's, same with Antlion. Yet for why they were made...?

also bee queen (and maybe toadstoll)

Klaus iirc is a pagan spirit that can smell wickedness on children. I think the religions got mixed up and all that but basically the old version of Saint Nicholas would walk around with a ''dark helper'' that he beat into submission and enslaved. The Dark Helper would try to attack children but Nick would keep it at bay and tell the children if they remained honest and good children the demon would not be able to harm them because it was blinded and shackled. The only thing it had left was its smell, it could smell a childs wickedness and attack them in the night when Nick couldn't protect them.

Basically a scary story told to children in older days to make sure they behave.  The player attacks an innocent deer, rips off its horn, and uses it to try and unlock the loot stash to satisfy their own greed, this wickedness gives Klaus the ability to smell them and attack.  If you look closely at his eyes you will notice they are sewed shut, and he is chained up as if a prisoner. If the player chooses to harm the deer that he brings to avenge the others further by slaying them he will enrage.

The player, by damaging Klaus near death breaks the chains enslaving Klaus, which allows him to regain his sense of taste(which is why his mouth becomes active.).  Either that, or Charlie herself undoes his shackles to get him to kill the player.

Spider Queen. "From where did I come? Where am I heading? I feel much more than a tier 3 spider den and at the same time compelled to turn into a tier 1 spider den. Why I am haunted by acts of inadequacy and stunted personal growth?".
