Another membe Posted March 5, 2022 Share Posted March 5, 2022 I live in Ukraine, and every day I hear explosions closer and closer to my house. I am afraid I might have to move away eventually, but I obviously cannot take a whole ps4 with me, which means the kitten will disappear after some time. Is there any way to preserve the kitty even if you can't log in daily? I had to put down my real life cat the other day, so logging in after playing the beta a bit with some friends to a 'your kitten has abandoned you' hurt a lot more than it probably should have. Naturally because I never learn, I immediately adopted a new one. This is probably why I'm a Webber main... Now to your question: I guess you can try the following two things: Option 1. Try to log in at least once every 4 Days. (According to a post, the cats give you 100 Hours time before they abandon you, so 4 days should be safe) Option 2. I've heard of a Ps4 emulator for android. Maybe you can transfer your save onto DST on a Ps4 Emulator on an android phone (If you have one) and keep your cat alive that way. Performance might be abyssmal, but should be no problem for just feeding your cat. Last resort 3. (Not sure if this works, but worth a try anyways) If you do have to leave your cat for too long, try noting down the last day you've taken care of it. Once you do boot your Ps4 back up, start it up without internet connection, and try to set your clock to <4 days after the last day of taking care of it. Then do a backup of your gamesaves (If you can on Ps4) and see if you can take care of your cat again. If that works, forward the clock 4 days and repeat until you've reached the current time. Or something like that. Unfortunately at this point there isn't an option in-game to pause the kitty, but in the future we are going to add a stasis-pod type thing on the kitcoon screen so you can indefinitely pause the aging of the kitty. Moving to another country may be hard, but that's what we all experience rn, and we'll need to leave with this. It's available now in the Steam beta branch, (though the beta branch is on a different profile than the main game still, so that's a moot point), but we're trying to get a Playstation/Xbox build out in the next few days that will have this hibernating den available. This new den received minimal testing so far, so if you see anything wonky in the beta build let me know!
