What do u expect to see in next update?

Recommended Posts

Not another boss for sure, we already got too many; Why I consider the current amount too many? because just killing one of them can take you a full play-through.

I would like to see some new Mobs or NPC, which adds depth to the world and lore.

If by similar you mean dangerous, where even if you are prepared, it can go downhill pretty fast, but has great rewards, I'd like that too. Other that that, whatever the devs are up too, i will probably like. I liked all updates so far, even when i haven't played with them fully yet.

And also, by similar to ruins, I mean something, that is very dangerous&rewarding, but also can be rushed. But...

Also I sincerely hope the next (not year of Beefalo update) is Forgotten Knowledges part 2.

yeah, i hope they continue this late-game content for a while as well. It's one of the most interesting directions they took in the Return of Them updates thus far.

Something that is actually intresting and not simply overhaul/rework of already existing mechanic.

... Something that dosnt makes you sitting on base doing the same exact thing every day and year just for sake of it. (Broken RWYS update)

There is never too many bosses. Cool bosses with fun combat mechanics is what im always looking for.

I am pretty sure there is at least one more boss on the way. And im pretty sure it has sleep mechanic so we have to make mushroom cakes to not sleep

well, maybe for monster hunter and games like that but for a survival would be nice to have more areas to explore, weathers and non boss mobs. There should be an equilibrium

we get a good amount of bosses in ANR and with return of them we get another 2

what's the problem of adding new biome and slapping one big fat boss in it? (or two, or three)

Bosses are my late game content and i want more big bad guys to kill

That's cool we all got our request from the game.

Since there are too many bosses, I always try to run away from people who kill them non-stop and flood my base with the Gems I don't need yet, so it's a bit difficult finding a quiet place to play the actual game.

If I was trying to survive irl, I wouldn't go hunting a giant entity that has millions of more hearts than me, but rather wait until it is a threat to my survival and then fight it.

For me personally bosses are boring predictable encounters and that isn’t just for Dont Starve Together I’m talking about any game I’ve ever played in my entire life...

I just: They used to be fun but now I hate them, my issue with them is that they are often times this huge drawn out set up and once you’ve done them ONCE you’ve pretty much done them & they’ll always be the same.

Ive played good games with epic boss fights but once you do it once it losses that “wow factor” adding more bosses to a survival game turns it into God Of War instead of being a survival Sandbox game.

So anytime Klei announces a new boss I groan and I’m like “fine.. I’ll get to it when or if I ever feel like it.”

State of Decay is one of my favorite zombie games BECAUSE it introduces you to these “bosses” and then after you encounter them throws them into the world as a common enemy type you will encounter often and everywhere.

With DST most of its bosses are in a pre-determined location, require summoning on your behalf: You can effectively win any boss fight simply just by gathering everything you need and over preparing for it.

Now let’s look at the bosses that DO multiply to eventually become a common enemy: Spider Queen, Treeguards, Moose/Goose.

I guess what I’m trying to say is I would have more fun with an island out far off in the ocean made of Ice sheets and a frozen over icy Tundra where instead of being a Seasonal boss that arrives on X day of the calendar year: Deerclops will be a common every day enemy type in this Icy wasteland & the player can encounter 4+ Of them at once.

So my opinion: Boss fights = Boring, but some people still want and enjoy them so Klei puts them in the game for them to enjoy.

Prepare for disappointment, because I really doubt Klei will ever add the snoozefest that is walking on water. If you want the boat from Shipwrecked, just don't go on the ocean and you've already got it. Without the boat the ocean is nothing. It's just a huge empty biome that has nothing in it, and every once in awhile you might find some salt. What's the point?

They're not adding boats from Shipwrecked. They're adding a Domino's Personal Pan Pizza.

Aside "Year of the Beefalo"? I can't really speculate what next update after YotB will bring but it better be amazing - since now, with the Tencent deal, I cannot expect anything short of amazing as "KLei financial security is assured"; or so I'm told.
