I want it too, I like it more than the actual game, and I miss my culinary skins, but Klei has consistently told us no.

I feel like 2020 roadmap kinda shows they are considering it, but only if they come up with something they want to add

I think they may be looking into alternate ways of delivering us that content.

such as- Making it a permanent core part of the game, maybe as an alternate mode you can play, or it’s own secluded mini-game island, a new way of delivering that content but without having to pay the costs of running their own special servers for said content. I’m no game designer so I can’t explain how that would work.. but.

The TL:DR- The cost for running the servers for those events were just barely being covered by people buying skins.

Maybe after the release of the last new character, because it wouldn't make sense to release a new event when a charakter is still missing. I think they will add the events as permanent game modes in the long term.

Not to sound rude but at this point re-releasing Gorge would be straight-up just a bad decision.

They're in the middle of a pandemic and a big update chain. Why would they also make themselves go through upgrading Gorge?

They said that they want too give players access to the Content somehow, but Having a season 2 of that event is incredibly unlikely.

The chances are rather slim, especially considering whats on the roadmap right now. They went as far ahead to recommend Regorged to those wanting to play it again...

And also mentioned making great strides in making those events accessible to console players as well. *Shrugs*

Its probably something they were planning to do.. obviously After the Reworks and Return of Them Content.. but Covid-19 May have altered that schedule.

Realistically-it wouldn’t make sense to release the events anytime soon when there’s well over 10 characters who have yet to be Refreshed.

Then again what do I know? And I’m pretty sure that you couldn’t get anyone who actually Does know to tell any of us. lol..

I think it's highly unlikely, though I would love for the Culinary body skins to return permanently as skin drops.

call it "the morgue" and the goal is to bury as many wilson bones as possible.

To be honest, I don't really see a reason for it coming back besides new content or a potential tournament, and they would need to change a lot of things about the tournament for people to not complain about RNG.  As for new content, there's not much they can add outside of new food sources and dishes, and even then people could just ignore new stuff because of the way that gorge is designed.
