We all know the are less and more useful characters and some of them are useful more to the player than to the team.

So which character is most useful for group? In my opinion it's Wendy. True spiders killer, can obtain insane amounts of silk and monster mean in no time, receiving practically no damage. Silk is super important for many things and monster meat.. this doesn't even need explanation.

I was torn between Wendy and Wickerbottom, but librarian weaknesses are really nasty (at least in my playstyle).

There are other characters that if used properly, can provide various of different benefits to their group:

Wigfrid - Powerful helmets and spear, I only wish more Wigfrids would realize that everyone want their gear

Wilson - Meat Effigy, although it's less useful in multiplayer

Woodie - Wood! But I am still not sure who is more efficient at getting wood, Woodie or Maxwell

Wickerbottom - I think she is the only character that cannot be blamed for staying in base. True base manager.

You might as well ask ask the question "who is your favorite character?" instead. You will get the same answers. :p

Well my fav. character is Woodie yet I don't necessarily think he is best one for the team. :p

Same goes for best character overall, which I would say is Wigfrid, so again something different.

I was partly joking, although in my case it applies. I like to play characters that are useful.

For me, Wigfrid. She can be really helpful. In most cases, I am the one who tries to fight bosses alone, but if I need to retreat, I call a wigfrid to at least distract it for me to heal up, fix weapons, and in deerclops case, regain some sanity. I know everyone can do it, but other characters don't have as much health. Also, her helmets. I can't live without them :?

I think that the most useful character is willow because VIDEO GAME and wes because them sweet dance moves

in honesty I saw webber he can handle spider populations and tentacles or distract giants from a safe distance and has around normal stats.

Everyone has value on the team.

-Wendy is the farmer. She farms spiders.

-Webber is the zoo keeper. He keeps the spiders.

-Maxwell is the miner .He occasionally works as an undertaker

-Wigfrid is the blacksmith. She makes both protective and amazing helmets.

-Willow is the ghost buster who also happens to be a pyromaniac.

-Woodie is the Lumberjack. He also has a sadistic smile for some reason.

-Wilson is the emo scientist. Has a bromance for Maxwell.

-Wolfgang is the muscles...........what did you expect anything more?

-WX 78 is the tank but occasionally in rainy days acts like a bulb.

-Wes is the boss. The mafia boss? The one you don't mess around?

Wes doesn't speak.Of course he doesn't.He just moves his hands eloquently when he wants something and that something is done. Wants a giant dead?He waves his hands and the giant dies.He wants food?Of course he wants food! In fact he wants more food than anyone else. He's the boss afterall. He also seems to take his time killing his enemies, signs of a true sadist.

And don't make the bloody mistake of disobeying The Wes.His baloomancy is said to torture those who dare speak against his wish.

Wes is insane.

Bromance means strictly non-romantic. Just thought I'd say this, because I see so many people use the term in the wrong way and scar me permanently.

I knew what it actually meant XD

But still, those pictures haunt me . . .

I've seen a Wes make a trail of baloons from spawn to base, how could you even compete to that?

But besides that and in the far far behind Wes breakdance moves tier 2, Wickerbottom can provide early backpacks, armor, spears and shovels, while later on she can make the base triple the food production, create powerful defenses, unlimited spikes, fast krampus summons, all year long mobile lightbulbs that look like a robot, and feather farming... I don't think there's much else to say there.

I know most people tend to list Wigfrid's "helmet slave" abilities as the main reason to keep one around...

...but when I play her, I just go out and explore, hunt, gather, and basically badarse my way across the land, occasionally making stuff for people when I happen to be back in base (and have the gold for it; some camp structure recipes use a good deal).

Does this mean I'm Wigfriding wrong?  Apparently not, 'cos I have yet to hear any complaints about that.  (shrug)

...Notorious

The best thing about Wig is going nomadic once you've got some basic stuff like a boomerang to aggro koalas and a shovel. You can buff sanity by killing spiders and bats and get by w/o jerky or crockpot foods, even in winter.

I think WX78 is one of least useful characters. It doesn't really have anything that would help group too much, he just noms your gears.

He can go sanic speeds which means have a piggyback and scout out a lot of land and underground caves/ruins really quick and that piggyback does help if you don't get a krampus sack on everyone from krampus farming bunny hutches.

Also having a nice light to keep your buddies alive helps too.

Bromance is romantic, as the name implies. It is non-sexual and involves no physical attraction. But the word comes from the word "romance", after all. If it was also non-romantic, it would be called friendship. It's important not to confuse romance, affection and love with attraction and lust.

I am not sure whether it is or is not romantic, but just because the word is based on another word, does not mean that it should be taken literally. It could also mean that it resembles romantic relationships, while not actually being romantic in any way.

Not that it matters, whatever the case is.

In truth, given Rule 34 and many addendums the Internet spawned, linguists do not attach either opinion to the word. So you are both correct (or wrong depending on whether you glass is half-full or half-empty).

Now that Aunt Arles finished dispersing completely gratuitous language-related information, the real stuff...

Sadistic smile? Wha? What are you talking about!? It's seductive smile, not sadistic!

Now I can't sleep thinking what the real between Woodie and Lucy is. Oh well.

(Does anyone get Thom Rainier vibes from him? A la "You're surprisingly charming for a man I found wandering the woods"? No?)
