AnonymousKoala
Here's what I figured out(or at least think) so far about how to deal with diseases and I actually really like the idea of forcing you to use what you normally don't, to save your resources. The "funky" berry bushes(berrybush2) can't get diseased. so juicy ones co-exist with them. Grass Tufts planted on savanna turf also doesn't get diseased. For Saplings...I fear they're unsavable, forcing you to use the thorny bushes(Also making them actually interesting, as they'll last forever with no diseases, but will damage you a bit in return for the twigs). All in all, I hope this stays true. Seems like a pretty unique solution IMO. Actually, despite how annoying it is to do every time, you can dig them up with a shovel to avoid damage. Arlesienne
No, I mean you will get a dug up version plus a twig. You will be able to replant them, but they will not grow back in the original place. Arlesienne
I can replant the bushes anywhere. With the Thulecite crown, I somehow managed not to lose any health. The force field worked. But I am afraid they do not regrow the way saplings do. I believe so too, usually plants have "MakeNoGrowInWinter(inst)" in their code, but spiky bushes don't. one thing I noticed which is not really that related, is that when lit on fire, they turn into ashes, not their "burnt" version, which exists(can only be found near lava ponds) Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/67471-disease-solutions-so-far/#findComment-774139 Share on other sites
Maslak
Yeah, I used those spiky bushes during Adventure Mode, many guides involved using them. I knew that you can dig them up, I just thought that it's impossible in DST after all this "disease" stuff, friend made me think wrong. Machine Reaper
Spikey Bushes are what wigrid will like to call "Warrior Saplings"...They can be planted on any turf and regrow no matter what season, although you will need a shovel or Armour to ward off the damage but basically its just like tree farming. in Adventure Mode especially "King of Winter" these are the best resources for twigs. Auth
How about guano turf being good for all plants? I think that'd be a cool feature. (In fact, in my singleplayer worlds, I always plant my farms on guano turf for the sake of decor, I mean, a turf of solid fertilizer sounds like it'd be nice) Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/67471-disease-solutions-so-far/#findComment-774245 Share on other sites
