There was nothing but silence in response to Connor. A little time had passed, and the defensive anger Bell felt had mostly faded, replaced with hurt sadness. Connor didn't understand the situation, but his words did make her think. Maybe Sylvia hadn't meant what she said in that way....

Bell tried to blink back moisture in her eyes. She didn't know. She just wanted to be left alone right now.

The rod which lay forgotten where Bell had put it abruptly started to make a pinging noise. It was a lot more rapid than when they first heard it. It was shrill and persistent.
After all just beyond the pig village in a circle of mushrooms was a very odd looking item- the item in question was a part of what was needed to build a portal.

Sylvia finally caught up to Bell, and scrambled onto a tree infront of her. "I'm too tired to change back" she explained, before shouting "Wait!" As bell continued on. "Dammit! Stop running away!"

(But, Bell is in a tree. She isn't going anywhere ._.)

"Quite a lovely melody." Levi grinned. He was really getting int—*insert pinging* Oh for goodness sake, the music was just getting good too and then this awful noise just had to start. "What is that shrill excuse of a sound? It's tarnishing the music. Seriously it's going to cause me some permanent damage."

Matthew ran up to Bell's tree, panting with the effort. He wasn't sure why he hadn't done so sooner; it felt like he'd been frozen in time unable to move for the longest time. After about ten seconds of just breathing, though, he was able to speak again.

"Um...are you okay up there?" He tried to project his voice so she could hear him.

While the others were at the tree talking to Bell, Red decided to sneak off with the rod. It may have been selfish but Red needed a break and some time to himself. Luckily the others were too preoccupied to notice his disappearance.

Red walked through the forest and took in a breath of fresh air "Ah" he felt more relaxed. "Anyway time to follow this things signal" Red followed the rod like a metal detector leading him to a forgotten scrap of metal. Then he found something, surrounded by a ring of mushrooms.

"How peculiar..."

Sylvia looked at Bell furiously. "STOP THIS! This is the second time you've ran off and..." She noticed the red blotches. Slowly, she moved closer, and used one of her tails as a handkerchief, wiping away her tears. "Why? Actually, no need to answer. Cmon, let's get back to the rest of the group." She smiled at the other two. "All of us." "Together."

Arca stopped playing when the screeching sound of the rod could be heard. "What a... shrill tone." She said as she covered one hear with her hand. She looked as Red took it away to somewhere else. "Should we... follow him? I am not sure of what importance that sound was."
