MenaAthena Posted April 30, 2016 Share Posted April 30, 2016 (edited) Kade didn't stop to wonder at how he turned the stick into a sword and turned to strike at the nearest shadow creature, which happened to be the one that was the same kind as the group that terrorized his sister earlier. Kate just kinda stood there, bewildered by the whole situation. She couldn't see where the attackers were or what they were, but at the same time it felt like she knew; it was a very odd and confusing sensation. (Okay, so to kinda explain/rationalize what's going on, Kade can see the shadow creatures for the same reason Wiffleball and Noctimus can; he's one of them. Kate can't see them herself since her sanity isn't low, but since Kade is connected to her, she is aware of what he's seeing, so she's kinda seeing through his eyes and her own at the same time. Kinda.) He is confused himself for a while, until he realizes this must be some kind of game! He starts attacking the air as well. He peered out the window and saw the shenanigans everyone was partaking in. "I will never understand living creatures..." (This would be hilarious if it were animated) Turner begins clearing the dust out of the rooms rather quickly thanks to his various gadgets. He finds the light bulbs and begins replacing them throughout the house as quietly as he can (not very quiet). He downed the rest of his now room-temperature coffee before going off to find the others. He went outside to see Syndir and Meri swinging around at seemingly nothing. "What's going on?" Whether he'd promised to stay or not, he wasn't going to lose her. Once he'd stepped outside, he saw the battle unfolding in front of him - shadows of all shapes and sizes were snapping at Syndir and Kade, while Meritursas flopped around and clacked his claws in the middle of the battlefield, completely oblivious to the action around him. Out of the corner of his eye, Wiffleball noticed one of the shadows had managed to sneak up behind the distracted Kade, jaws open and poised to bite the boy's head off... "BƎHIИD YOU!" (Both Kate and Kade can hear this one!) Glad Jaw didn't fight back ) Turner returned the weapon to the crafting room Jaw retrieved it from and locked the door. Seeing as the manor was dusted and the light bulbs replaced, he flipped the lights on. "Now for upstairs." The robot almost went upstairs but then remembered his master was sleeping. "I won't wake him... I'm surprised he hasn't woken from all this ruckus." Turner polished up the rest of the first floor and started making preparations for breakfast (assuming it's like 2-3AM or something).
