He wouldn't have enough time to move out of the wa- *SSHHHW-THUNK* ... and then a flying metal blade sliced right through the shadow creature and lodging itself in a tree, reducing the creature to a blob of nightmare fuel. Kade blinked, then shrugged, not one to look a gift dead terrorbeak in the mouth, and went back to hacking at the nearest attacker. Kate looked around, trying to determine where the voice came from. (To make a long story short, I want to re-join the RP. My last in-character post was over a hundred pages ago, and I've learnt a lot in the meanwhile. To put forward my case, I want to address some major points, mostly to do with Mafia and how the whole 'Julian' thing will not happen again.) (Firstly; Mafia.) (A lot of people were understandably angry at my choice of handling Mafia, especially with the Host. People did complain that the Host was very 'godlike,' however I must stress that that was the point. He wasn't supposed to be a traditional RP character. In fact, I never expected Mafia to be an RP at all! Originally, I was intending Mafia to be more like this; http://s10.zetaboards.com/SOTF_V2/topic/7564927/1/ (ignore my random screw-ups,) but it kinda evolved into an RP. You can tell that I didn't mean it to be an RP by the fact that I didn't, y'know, post it in the RP sub-forum.) (People were also annoyed for my character control. I apologise for that, it seemed like a good idea at the time(s)) (Regarding Julia/n... I apologise. I was too aggressive, didn't properly read the 'type' of RP this was, and... She happened. Battal Posted May 1, 2016 Share Posted May 1, 2016 (The problem is, Danny, is that while you've said numerous times that you've changed for the better, I haven't really seen any evidence of that. In Maxwell's Playground, your character is pretty much a carbon copy of your one from here, and also has the same problems. Godmodding, messing with other people's content, being an overall pain and hindrance to the group...it's all there. Slightly tuned down, yes, but it's still there. And even if the goal with the host was to be overpowered and godlike, you still overstepped your boundaries, controlled other people's actions, and skewed their motivations in such a way that it went completely against their characters. And, just like with Julian and Sylvia, you ignored everyone's recommendations for how you should change, right up to the very end of the story. People were so frustrated with your controlling their characters they're making an entire comic out of what they would have done if you had let them. But instead, you ignored their input on what could have been a satisfying finish and opted for an ending which was basically a few paragraphs of godmodding and then the whole thing completely stopping. These problems are too massive and ongoing for me to ignore. I'm sorry, I really am - I think the more is merrier, especially in adventures like these - but I just don't think you're ready yet.) (If you can prove that you have actually made changes, in The Abyss or even Mafia v2, I'll happily change my vote. Wiffleball kept quiet and tried to avoid eye contact with Kate, uncertain if making another attempt to speak would be smart.
